The ebony woman knew that she could not keep everything inside of her anymore. Ever since Chrono had passed on into the next world, she could not help but feel alone and sad when she had been with her pups for so long and not even tell or explain to them about their father passing on into the next world. The thought of it just made her stomach ache with sadness and regret. They are old enough now to be able to hear what she had to say about him, and what he had done. Ever since she had seen Chrono, whether it had been a dream or in real life, him saying that he died protecting them was lying. A storm had taken his life, and they were still in her belly when he had passed on. The thought of lying to her own pups, felt horrible knowing that she would have to carry that lie inside of her for her entire life.
She howled out for them, Tinaro, Mingan, Lukario, and Alvin to come over to her. She believed it was time she would tell them about their father, for she could not keep it in herself any longer. She may make them upset or cry, but she would be with them no matter what.

Perhaps the boy had never realized he had grown up without a father. Since he and his siblings were the only pups currently in the pack, the pup was not exposed to other families with equal parents. In fact, he didn't even know what a father was. Until today.
His mother would call them all together and the small pup would look up to face the ebony woman. Was Esperanza going to tell them a nursery story like she always did to help his siblings fall asleep? Maybe she was going to take them outside to meet the pack! By the expression on her face, she didn't look like she was about to tell them a story or take them outside. For once, the hazel boy was confused.
"Mum?" He asked softly, waiting for her to tell them what was going on.
