He didn't have much, but little enough was more than he needed. Albion turned his muzzle to the brisk wind kicking up over the plains and forced himself to smile. This was nice. Below him hundreds of large beasts milled about, and he'd worn away most of the afternoon watching them do just that, and little else. The sun was not yet setting, but the lighting around him was beginning to gild, and the sky was clear. It would be a boring event with nothing to absorb the colors, nothing to shine brilliant orange and pink. The sky would fade to some strange shade of green before going dark. He let out a content sigh. At least he wasn't laying at the bottom of a ditch somewhere. He wasn't too hungry, wasn't too cold, wasn't too lonely. Things were pretty okay. He grunted and rolled onto his back, limbs skyward and aligned haphazardly, trying to imagine shapes for imaginary clouds. That one looks like my brother, he thought. Oh look, there goes my dignity and self respect, sailing by. He let his eyes close. What a day. What a world. But it was all good, right? The wind shifted and blew the stink of the herd below him into his nostrils.

The day was beautiful, the sun was out and the chill of autumn would play with her fur as she trotted over the rogue lands. She was again out exploring the world around her, Abaven should have been where she stood however. The day was getting late, her bright bicolored eyes would watch as the sun would begin its descent under the horizon. The graceful she wolf would stop on the top of a rather large hill, gaze trained on the horizon as she watched the yellow orb go dark. She?d take in a deep breath, finding the urge to call out over the empty expanse. The dark girl would sit back, her head tipping back as a long sorrowful call would echo out over the land. She would sing clearly, her soft voice slowly coming to an end as she looked out over the knolls.

We all want something to hold in the night

We don't care if it hurts when we're holding too tight

A familiar voice broke in on Albion's train of thought. His head tilted, taking in the song and trying to pin down the soprano notes that were surprisingly familiar. Where had he heard... Oh! He rose to his feet and turned to the wind just as the song faded away. So Rhythm had found him once again. He mused on that fact, a small smile taking over his features and his previous self-deprecation falling to the wayside. He carried himself towards her at a steady, rolling pace, up and down over the turbulent landscape. He crested one final rise and there she was. Coat earthen, eyes bright. He smiled and dipped into a polite bow. "Rhythm! Do I need to be concerned, have you been stalking me?" He laughed a bit, bright eyes expressing his mirth. "It seems the most likely scenario, I can't seem to get away from you." He hoped his light tone would not be taken for anything other than jest. In truth he was rather pleased to see the young fae. She was anything but boring, even if she was simply stopping by to say hello as she worked along her way. It was a more than welcome break in the monotony.

.ooc. gonna do a time skip so this is after motif gets pregnant
Though the dark girl probably should have been back within Abaven and with her sister she had no regrets about being out here. Motif needed her, and already they shared so much time together. Now, her sister should have been resting, one of the few moments where she could actually rest. As Rhythm distanced herself from her sister?s offspring the easier it would become to see the struggle of her littermate. She was miserable. These thoughts would plague her mind as she finished her song, bright eyes would search the darkening sky. Her solitude would not remain for long, the sound of footsteps in the quiet cold air would bring her attention to focus on a face she would remember clearly.
She?d smile softly at his approach, her mind flashing back to her sister?s encounters briefly before his words would reach her ears. Though she knew such words were in jest she couldn?t help but to feel a bit of embarrassment flutter within her belly. She certainly had not been stalking him, but oddly found his presence welcome despite her original intentions. Showing the meekness of her nervousness her bright eyes would look up at him bashfully. "Of course I haven?t been stalking you," she?d say as her eyes widened a bit, thinking she might have sounded a bit harsh. Her ears would pull closer to her skull as she quickly added, "I mean, not that i hadn?t thought about it," oh man that was just so much worse. "Erm, not stalking you.." She?d whisper as she looked away mortified at what she?d just said. "Can I start over?" She?d ask as her bicolored eyes looked back to him.
