He had never gone exploring this far before, Anais would be upset if she found out that he had wandered so far away. It had taken him awhile to get where he was, but he couldn't help it. He just wanted to see this land! He walked around with wide golden eyes, drinking in all the new landscape. This was so cool! His white tail wagged behind him, his bangle dancing up and down his foreleg as he strut about. There was no one here in this new snow covered lands, and it was fun to see that his were the only paw prints on the ground. A satisfying crunch would sound every time he stepped, and he took as big a stride as he could. Childish giggles flew from his maw, as he looked over his shoulders it looked like he had been a much bigger wolf than he was. What fun! Tossing back his head he took a few more giant steps, eyes landing where his paw fell every time. His blue paw pads shivered with the touch of the cold snow, but this game was all worth it. He was a giant! Well, at least his paw prints looked like it.

Shai Adeyemi

He'd find himself walking slowly down to the bay, well aware that the manatees had migrated to warmer waters for the winter. Still, he hoped he might find Dada here again. He'd needed some advice on his relationship with Gwena. He was slight;y ashamed of himself for not having the strength to withstand her begging. He'd failed again, though he was more sure now than he'd ever been that he was ready to marry her. He wanted to howl it to the whole tribe, to declare loudly that she was his.
As he walked down the bank to the bay he'd find his eyes resting on not Dada, but an odd colored wolf playing in the snow. His strangeness would be a dead giveaway of his origin, and for a moment Shai would debate turning a leaving, avoiding the northern wolves like he should have with every other encounter. He just looked like he was having so much fun. It wasn't often he saw such a carefree wolf of that age. Shai's giant paws would bring him forward cautiously, eyes and ears trained on the man. He knew that it was unlikely he would speak the tribe's tongue, so a bark would be let out to make his presence known, but Shai was still rather unsure of the purpose of his interest. Curiosity mostly.

The scent that reached his nose was odd to him, it didn't smell like any of the wolves he knew. But then again, he didn't really know many wolves at all. He spun, head tilting as a large male came into view. He was a pretty good looking guy, with feathers coming out of his head. Woah! His jaw dropped when he looked at him, golden eyes wide. "Ni o wa ti o apakan eye tabi nkankan ?" He asked, the words that left his mouth not English at all. However, to him it sounded just like any other words. He had no memory of even learning all these languages, so to him it all sounded the same. He didn't even realize that it was Yoruba, or that this wolf would most likely not understand him. He had done it once with Anais already, speaking German without even realizing it. He didn't understand why she didn't know his words, or that it may be possible that this gentleman wouldn't have a clue what he said.

Lebrah was really curious about this stranger, and took a few steps forward. Could he have wings hidden in all that fur? And what were those pretty things tied all around him? He just had a single bangle around his leg, nothing as pretty as what this guy had. And his feather like markings as well, but that was a whole other story. Eying the larger man, he let out an excited bark and dropped into a play bow. "Fi mi rẹ iyẹ !"

The odd marked wolf was obviously from the north, and yet as he turned to face him the exclamation would not be in english, but in the tribe's tongue. His curiosity would continue to grow, and still no answers would present themselves. Still, it seemed the strange wolf was just as interested in him as Shai was to him. He'd tilt his head curiously as he would playfuly bow before him, wanting to see his wings. The Adeyemi wolf would scoff, he was so such thing. "I am no such thing," He'd say with a smile, "The feathers came from a giant blue bird." He'd tell him, the macaw population had been dwindling the last few years, he hoped that the colorful creatures would bounce back soon. "What about you, were your parents one of the giant colored birds?" He'd ask in reference to his bright markings.

The wolf said that the feathers had come from a giant blue bird, which made Lebrah curious. Flipping over on to his back, he wiggled in the snow and looked around. He didn't see any, so where were they? "I don't see anything..." He whispered, so easily switching from Yoruban to English. He didn't even realize it, like most other things he was clueless to what it all meant. If he 'woke up' from the state of mind he had placed himself, in, surly he would have been able to know it all. And of course, he wouldn't fully believe that he was a child.

A question was turned on him, making Lebrah flatten his head into the snow so that he could look at the much larger wolf. He frowned, turning so that he was laying on his side. He didn't know about his parents. But... if they were birds... Sadness vanished and he jumped to his paws, tail wagging behind him quickly. "Ti wọn ba wà, boya ti o ni idi ti nwọn si fò kuro! Mo ti a ti nwa fun ikõkò, ati ki o Mo yẹ ki o wa nwa fún ẹiyẹ! O ti wa ni ki smati!" He barked, switching back to Yoruban so easily. Jumping up and down, he let out excited yips. Yes! That is why he couldn't find them, because they must be the large birds that this man talked about. How silly of him to not realize that!

Shai would grow ever more curious as the marked wolf would begging to speak English too, he recognized a little but was not entirely sure of the sentence. However his mind would not settle there for long, the strange being going on to switch back to Yoruban as he answered the question literally. How old was this wolf? Why would he be searching for his parents at this age? Likely they were dead by now, obviously having been missing for quite some time. Shai was not one to burst a bubble so he would only bring himself to agree. "Maybe they were, it's been a long time since I've seen any of them though." he had his doubts that the boy would realize what death was. "If your parents are colorful bird it's not likely you'll find them here." he didn't know how common they were where this wolf came from either.
