(OOC: I'm assuming that he is living in Darrah's den right now ;3)

It wasn't too late out, but it was awfully dark. The boy wasn't too far from his old den but he paid no mind to such things. He often slept away from the others, his brothers growing with him and taking up more space. He didn't like that sissy stuff anyway.

He hadn't left the lands of Abaven since he had seen that man, August. And he missed having that much freedom around him. He didn't see the danger of the world outside, and he probably never would. Backing down wasn't really his thing.

He was able to escape Darrah's den but didn't really want to go as far as the rapids. Instead of even just laying down and hiding in the frosting grass, he took a walk rather in a large circle around the plains. It was either too early to go to sleep or he went to sleep too early... He couldn't tell. But staying asleep wasn't an issue for him after what he had been through.

The pale man walked through the darkened plains, enjoying the moments of silence. He rarely got them now, with the children getting older and louder. So he often slipped out while the pups fell asleep to enjoy the lapse of silence. It was broken only when he nearly tripped over something, and when he looked down he saw that it was rather someone than something. Alvin. Chuckling softly, he dropped down beside him, flopping down beside the boy. "Did you need a break too?" he asked, placing his head on his pale paws. He felt a large need to protect these pups, after having both parents lost here. He hadn't seen them too much since Esper died, but they had been staying with Darrah last he heard. Having also lost his parents, he took the kids under his wing. He was proud if Darrah, of taking them in when he couldn't.

Letting out a soft sigh, his golden gaze shifted towards the darker boy. He felt bad, like it was his responsibility to keep them safe. But he hadn't been doing that as of late, being busy with his own large brood of pups. Maybe he should take him and his litter out for a little adventure, exploring was always fun.

Alvin's walk was very lazy, the tips of his paws dragging for every step. His ears were limp on his head as he was lost in empty thought. He was thinking of anything, just getting away from the world tonight. Surprised as he bumped into the legs of another, a little harder than he would have pleased.

The mixture of his eyes looked evilly up at his pack leader, though they said something more like "Watch where you are going." Of course, he should have been doing the same.

He shook his body out to let the tense surprise let loose of his body, and when he had finished that Bass had plopped down beside him. Did you need a break. Alvin just wanted to up and leave this place, there was no "break" necessary. But it was too late to pick a fight, and Alvin would secretly plan his escape for a day he could really fend for himself.

"My den doesn't get any bigger."

He would speak as he sat down, his back leg beginning to scratch at his ear. If anything, Darrah's den was smaller. He probably didn't expect to have a mouth full of growing pups occupying the place with him. Hopefully he wouldn't feel obligated to take other pups in his training. That would be the final straw for Alvin. He would have to leave sooner than expected.

'My den doesn't get any bigger.'

Bass nodded his head, chuckling softly. He certainly knew what that was like, all seven members of his family trying to cram into one small den. It was a nightmare, and most of the pups just flopped on top of each other when it came to sleeping. But Bass had no idea that Alvin just wanted to leave, he had been so caught up with his children that he hadn't been able to check up on them very often. Pale tail flopped on the earth as he let out a sigh, golden gaze cutting back towards the boy. "Did you want to do anything Alvin? We can hunt, or even fish at the lake," he offered, not knowing what else to do. He wanted to do something, anything really. Being a father was great, but it seemed to be the same thing day in and day out. Wake up, or rather be woken up by bouncing puppies, get food, explore, nap.... It was always the same. While a routine was great, Bass missed just waking up and not knowing what the day would bring, or who it would bring to his borders. But his concerns changed too. It was hard being a father as well as an alpha, often the tasks got mixed up and jumbles together. Perhaps doing something with Alvin would get him out of this rut...

The man chuckled to his remark of the den not getting any bigger. Alvin taking a sort of liking to him. But he still didn't want to get too intertwined with anyone. As his previous fight with his brother, he secretly didn't want to hurt anyone when he left. He would only give it fair game on his travels. You can't get revenge on someone who is dead.

He would ask Alvin if he wanted to go fishing or hunting, neither that Alvin had ever done. He was still young though, you couldn't see him taking down even a fawn yet. Of course, learning, watching, catching a bird or something would do him good. Bass may have started to look like a father figure to Alvin, though maybe it was just because he was the Azat or Abaven. Esper hadn't had any other male friends or of the sort, but Bass was someone everyone looked to at meetings.

"Well, that doesn't sound like any fun..." Clearly trying to act like his cooler, tougher self. "But maybe we could go fishing?"

There wasn't really a sense of desire in his eye, but there was something there. Maybe he really wanted someone to teach him these things. But he would never admit to it. Alvin had a hard time admitting anything deep and personal... or any feeling besides anger or frustration. But Bass should have been able to see his lie through that little... something in his eye.
