This will be added to the rules themselves once we have a chance to write it up in a more official manner, but there have been a lot of questions and concerns about whether or not charging for graphics so it seems an announcement is in order. Yes, this is a change from the previous administrative stance on the subject but change is good - it allows for growth. A lack of change results in stagnation. Stagnation results in boredom. Does anyone really want that? So after listening to member suggestions and considering the subject, we have come to this conclusion.

Without further ado:

The staff has noticed that people are seeming to like the idea of charging their own price for their graphics. We like the idea, but to protect both artist and the buyer it will be regulated. So YES! You may make your own pricing for your graphics and charge what you like. We reserve the right to regulate pricing in the future if it becomes a problem, but we WILL make an announcement and put it in the rules if that changes.

1) If someone pays for a graphic, you cannot include that in a 5 graphic batch to get the normal 50 gems. The normal 50 gem claim is still available to anyone who does NOT charge for their graphics, however.

2) The gems will not be going into your account, but will be stored in the Gemstone Credit instead.

3) In order for payment to be made, the buyer must post in maintenance with a link to the purchase. Also, please do not delete these requests from your store. This is for the protection of both the buyer and the artist, as well as to minimize any confusion with double claimed gems. They will be stored in archives for this reason.

4) The artists are allowed to make their own rules when it comes to the amount of gems and if you are to pay before or after the graphic is done.

For the buyer :

- Please don't complain about an artists prices being too high, its just plain rude. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

- Remember to include what account(s) the gems will be coming from.

- Don't be a butt and go and spend the gems that you promised to the artist. After posting in the shop, you WILL be held liable for that payment. If you must cancel an order, please make immediate arrangements with the artist, who may release you from your obligation.

If you have any questions concerning this, please feel free to direct them to staff and we will answer them. As stated this will be added to the rules once we have it written out officially - you may consider this announcement the nod of approval from the staff.
