sweet little cotton puff, free from the weight of responsibility and worry, free from the negativity of hate and swollen like a balloon with enough love to share with the entirety of alacritis ten times over. she toddled through the snow delicately, tiny nose twitching excitedly at all of the earth's smells - every prancing step a tantalizing adventure for her ears and nostrils! the fae found it hard to stay cooped up in her metal ship when the world beyond its walls was waiting for her; sure, she stayed behind sometimes, simply because zola attracted armai like a moth to light, the girl was something short of obsessed with sister dearest, absolutely in awe and still clinging to the innocent love of a little sister. calder on the other hand was something like a repellent, and though the girl knew he'd most likely be outside (he'd always get up early and disappear to avoid her incessant whines for cuddles) she didn't run into him often, or if she did the babes usually ignored each others presence.

peals of giggling fluttered up from the wee thing as she pounced forward and tumbled through the snow - clumps of the ivory blanket caught in her downy coat, dampening and leaving it with a terribly unpleasant temperature. the child shivered as she rose to her paws, twisting around to find she'd rolled down a hill that had yet to be explored and had become a bit lost. disoriented and cold, the lass wobbled forward, only to have her numbed nose abruptly meet with the pointy bark of a tree's trunk.

in an instant the silence of the forest was shaken by the sorry gurgles and whimpers of its resident faerie child - her teary lavender eyes were as wide as an unsuspecting doe caught in the blinding lights of a car. the babe's wailing hushed for a moment as she heard a rustling from a nearby bush, and being blind and too flustered to pick out any unfamiliar scents her heart quickened and her mind rushed to the most terrible conclusion possible. the crying of mai grew louder as she shoved her head and shoulders behind a stone, leaving her silver rump and ivory-tipped tail exposed; unknowingly giving predators an easy target.

He was usually found in the forests bordering their little man made piece of heaven, if he hadn't found her he would have been blind himself. The black and white lad would make his way easily through the snow laden lands, his large paws leaving tracks through the well worn snow. Zola hadn't wanted to come with him this morning, so the leone wolf would walk alone.

If he hadn't seen the girl before now he would have heard her pitiful cries, he wanted to feel disgusted as he listened to her whine but he only felt pity for her. He didn't hold the same hate Zola did for their siblings, but they did not please him in any way no matter. He would sigh heavily as he brushed past some bushes, making enough noise that she knew he was coming for her. "Armai, stop whining." His voice was blunt, "Come on, I'll lead you back to the den." He'd say almost begrudgingly as he stood over her cowering form. just don't tell Zola I did anything for you, he ahd to think with a smile.

at first she was confused by the sound of the voice, the somewhat foreign way it formed her name, but it quickly clicked for the child - and upon realizing just who it was that had come to rescue her this time, she gasped. almost instantly the tears that were welling around her sightless lilac eyes dissipated and armai's little head popped up from behind the stone which she'd been cowering. her need to cry and whine, and the soft stinging of her bonked nose were forgotten as her eyes widened once again; not in fear but in wonder. lian was the second to the pair of mystical elder siblings, and up to this moment armai had little chance to bother her older brother in the way she bothered her sister - she only hoped this brother would be a little nicer than calder.

so far, it seemed he was; he wasn't nearly as mean when he spoke, but he wasn't outright friendly either. tail wagging eagerly the little silver puff attempted to snuggle herself into lian's side, his body heat seeming very inviting while her fur was so damp and frigid. "kay, mai'll stop - but me dun' wanna go back to tha' den please and tank-you, leee-aaaaan."

almost as soon as she'd finished singing his name the child yawned and blinked a few times, "i'se sleepy cause i didn't take my nap. please dun' tell on me's, it was an accident."

It seemed the girl was quite eager to 'see' her savior. Her head would appear from the rock and her sniffles had deceased completely. He couldn't help to notice the look of surprise she held on her features, like she hadn't expected one of her siblings to find her. Though knowing their siblings it was more likely for them to hear her whining and run the opposite way. He had no doubt that was exactly what they'd done too.

She seemed to materialize at his side, fluffy grey fur wanting nothing more than to suck the heat right out of his coat. A long drawn out sigh would leave his lips, but he wouldn't push her away yet. He thought about it though, as she thanked him... and then sang his name wrong. Grumpily he'd pick up his paws and started to move not sure what he was going to do with her if she didn't want to go back to the den. "LIE-en" he'd corrected her, he wasn't a girl his name didn't sound anywhere near to lee-anne. "kinda like.. lion with an 'eh' instead of 'oh," His words were more absent minded than harsh, though he knew Zola would kill him for being so.. not mean to their younger sibling.

He'd sigh again as she told him about her lack of nap, and would beg that he didn't tell their parents. He'd give her a sharp look, but he knew she couldn't see it anyway. "Sounds like I need to take you back to the den." If she'd missed her nap wasn't it his duty to bring her back for it? It was an easy solution for him to get away from her too.

if she'd been a cat, the girl would be purring - she was absolutely content with herself and the fact that the magical older sibling hadn't jumped away at her snuggling into him. his warmth was most comforting, so much so she was almost ensnared by the clutches of the nap she'd evaded earlier. once lian began to move however, the little silver puff, determined to remained snuggled, followed and stayed close to his legs as he walked. she was careful not to trip him though as she bounced along at his side.

he then corrected her mispronunciation of his name, and the little thing whimpered in apology before attempting to sing his name again, "ooooh, sorreee lieeee-EEEEEN!" though her shrill voice rose in pitch at the latter half of his name - it was all a part of the song, of course - it quickly softened out again as sleepiness crept up on her.

but the sleepiness was put aside for a moment as lian spoke of returning to the den, the usually docile and easy-going child was struck with a sudden stubbornness, "no!" she squeaked, a loud yelp of a sound that almost seemed angry. she quickly mellowed out however, and she stopped in her toddling beside her brother to press herself into the snow, not wanting to go back for her nap, "please, pleased dun' take me back! i'se not sleepy, i'se fibbed. i tooked my nap." just as she'd said it though, a gentle yawn escaped her maw, followed by a symphony of sorry whines.

He would start visualising ways to get her away from him, the first coming to mind was rub his side against a tree. She'd never see it coming, and after she bonked her head he was sure she'd be ready to go to the den after that. Not that he was going to be that cruel, but the thought had been tempting. She wouldn't quit touching him even as he explained the wrongness of her pronunciation of his name. She'd correct her song before she'd droop a bit, her lack of sleep obvious despite her protests against the activity.

She looked pitiful as she plopped into the snow, adamant that she was not sleepy and that she had simply fibbed to him. The boy would stick out his tongue, though knowing very well that she could not see it. He'd sigh, coming to lay by her side. If she wasn't going to go back to the den at least he could lay by her until she fell asleep, though it didn't look like he'd have to convince her very hard of her need for sleep. "Fine, sleep here then." The snow was comfortable, and through his own thick coat he could hardly feel the cold.

the little shivering bundle, having settled into the snow with still damp fur, gurgled happily as she felt the warmth of lian return to her side on the ground. a little part of her had thought he would continue on his journey and leave her behind in tears - but the much larger part of her was desperate to believe he really was a mystical being of niceness (little did mai know he had been scheming how to rid himself of her, luckily he hadn't acted on his thoughts) - and as it turned out, he was!

the child somehow found herself once again trying to nestle into the thickness of lian's coat, too tired to argue anymore about sleeping as he told her she'd just have to sleep here - besides, she knew she was tired anyway, and she knew he knew, so she didn't bother. warm and comfortable, the girl rolled onto her back; she reached her little silver paws up to try and play with lian's muzzle before settling down and drowsily questioning him, "zola's very niced - you's nicer though. caaal is mean - do you'd think so, too?" mai didn't wait long for an answer, she knew lian just had to agree, "you's very lucky to has a good sister like zolaaa," she paused then, and then giggled gently before adding, "two good sisters!".

but then the child quieted, and she began to think about the sound of the breeze in the leaves and the sounds of the bushes rustling - she wondered what the world looked like, and wanted to ask lian to explain it, but she thought it'd be difficult and didn't want to burden him. instead the girl settled for something a little easier, something she loved to hear when she was tired, "lian, can you's tell me a story, please?"
