meet me on the other side
The boy had become officially homeless. It was depressing, to be without his sister and his family. Returning to Ebony may be an option...but would Raisa really be there? Would the spirit of his real mother, Elsa, be there waiting with open arms? Maybe his brothers...? Abaven was also an option. But after everything has happened...loosing his pack...he didn't feel like becoming part of a family again. He'd rather be alone, oblivious to the deaths of his loved ones. He'd been through to much of that grief. Although...the girl he met the other day was an exception. Did she even mention her name? Ixionn rolled over and pressed his paws up against the ceiling of his den, tail tapping against the stone walls. Hmm...if she did, he forgot it.
He considered that girl a friend, even though he didn't even know her name. She was troubled and stubborn, kind of like a pup, but he knew that wasn't the real her. Something was going on, and he'd try to get it out of her. It'd make her feel better. Although, if it was something like family or relationship problems...it wasn't any of his business. It was only necessary to share it with him if it was something like...loosing a friend or loved one. He's lost a lot of loved ones! Three of his mothers, two of his fathers. His brothers are far away from him, and he doesn't know where his sister is! Hah, his whole family is initially gone!
He wasn't any counselor, but if she needed someone to talk to, he'd be there for her. The masked boy smiled weakly and rolled back over onto his stomach, sprawling his legs out beside him and resting his head back. He curled his tail in over his back legs and buried his nose into his chest, resting his eyes and breathing softly. Sleep would be nice...especially now, after all this stress. Ixionn shifted a bit, but before he knew it, he was drifting away. But he wasn't dreaming. No, he was...awake? Standing in a misty field, with a few trees littering here and there. But he couldn't see very well.
Was this really a dream? It felt so...real. He couldn't even feel the grass brushing against his legs! "Hello?" The boy called out, his voice echoing into the air. It was a bit louder than he had intended. His jaws snapped shut and he pushed through the tall grass, orange eyes wide with awe. 'Where am I?' He thought calmly. What was going on? Was he just dreaming a very realistic dream? Or was this Somnium...?
