(OOC:Just to clear it up, he is not in the border, he is just outside. Wanted to make a thread for Varda, but Abaven and Threar pretty much take up this island thing xD)

The boy was out often, looking for food or just because he was simply a wanderer. He had crossed a shallow part of a river but stuck close to the bank as he made his way down stream. If there was any sort of small prey, he assumed it would stick by the water here. Little did he know, a pack was just ahead.

He would notice the scent of the border and immediately stop. He knew better than to trek through someone's pack lands but he was so curious as to who lived inside. Did anyone look like him? Was the pack driven by violence like Arcanum? He just stood outside the border sniffing the air with puppy-like eyes looking into their land. Maybe he should leave before anyone notices him...

She understood the importance of keeping to Threar's territories, recalling her father's warning words on the dangers beyond the borders. To her, everything outside of the pack was considered a mystery. In her mental map, she imagined Threar, Abaven and Glaciem spread out neatly on a huge continent. The rest was unknown. She wouldn't mind to travel the dangerous world, however she would stick with visiting allied packs as they were deemed safe.

There was nothing more useful for her to do, unless one of the senior wolves had called a lesson and she had somehow missed it. She found herself patrolling the borders around the falls, satisfied with the peace and serenity. That was how she wanted it to stay until her gaze fell upon the unfamiliar body of a stranger. He was only a few strides away, his smell disguised with the distinct scent of the border. Her body slunk behind luscious bushes in the hopes she would not be seen. Eyes assessed him carefully. His spotted markings were nothing familiar, certainly not a trait her family carried. Who was he? Why was he by the border? Questions pelted in her mind through this new situation. Perhaps he was seeking the leader, should she call her mother?

Out of curiosity and her own initiative, the alabaster girl stepped forward confidently. A multicoloured vision faced a wide gaze of emerald. Lyrics were dangerously quiet, smooth and fluent. Would this stranger be a threat? "What are you doing here?"

The boy would be completely unaware of the white girl hiding as he stared forward into the pack lands and just imagined what it would be like to live there. He would be startled as she came out of the shrubs but wouldn't back away or cower; just jump a little. She walk confidently toward him, obviously a member of the pack protecting her home.

He wasn't much taller than her, but he was. He stood his ground as he always did for no particular reason but tried to flick out words as they came to mind.

"I am uh, just looking... around..." obviously hoping that he wasn't actually in the the pack territory and that no one would come to the girl's rescue to maul him or anything. "For Food! I am looking around... for food." This had been the most unsteady he had ever been. Was it the girl? Nah, it had to be that he was this close to the pack border...

He would look around behind her before settling his pale eyes onto her. "My name is Amarant... I didn't mean to trespass or whatever." He would flick his eyes away and back to her, eyebrows raising in question, "I'm not trespassing, am I?" He lifted a paw to it as well. Maybe he was stepping on the border? Oh, oh well. It was too late now.

His words came out in a searching stutter, making her roll her eyes at the sight. He didn't have any reason to be here, did he? Why was she wasting her time with him? She could shooed him away at first sight. Pulling half her attention away from his words, the ending of his explanation happened to be heard by her ears, piquing interest.
"Are you hungry?" Confidence melted into concern as she tilted her head to the side. It didn't feel right to sneak food from the pack but it also didn't feel right to let a wolf grow hungry either. Surely the lands beyond the borders had plenty of prey, or that would be unfair.

Names were something she hadn't expected to advance to, but being the polite girl she was, she found it respectful to introduce herself as well. Amarant was a name she would attempt to remember. It was different from her family's names and she liked that.
"Varda Destruction." She introduced with a dip of her head. Was it too much of a name? Oh well, it's not like he was familiar with her family. "You're not over the border anyway, so there's no need to apologize."

She hoped standing in the vicinity of the border wasn't a violation of the rules either. Then again, she was alone, wasn't she?

The girl asked if he were hungry but he wasn't quite sure. He wasn't starving, he probably could've had a bit more but it wasn't like he was dying. "Um, I have a little nephew. A pup." He explained, "But my brother and his... person are probably getting food now too." Ekko wasn't really an in-law... but was she even Colten's girlfriend? Was she like Cat was to Kylar?

The girl was pretty calm herself, a lot more collected than the spotted boy obviously. Amarant could be classy if he wanted to, but what fun was that? She returned with her name, Varda Destruction; Destruction was very odd to him. Did sound like too kind of a name but the girl seemed to care for his well being. Maybe it was all an act to drag him in and eat him or something.

"Sovari. Uh, I'm a Sovari."

Though his focus was on her, his mind was else where. When would an official come by and see this as a problem. "I'm glad I wasn't." He gave her a sly smile. "I should probably go though... I don't want to cause you any trouble."

It was relieving to know the boy wasn't in any desperate need for food. He seemed to have a family of his own, a nephew, a brother and a...person. Her thoughts were puzzled with that name, who was called "person"? She found it polite not to question it and let it slide.

After hearing her surname, he stated himself being a Sovari. Inquiries raced through her mind, curious to know more of this family. He surely wasn't a visiting wolf from Glaciem or Abaven, as he would have stated that earlier. Were they like her family? Large and protective? She had to know, without asking so many questions. "Is your family big? Like, do they have a pack?"

She didn't want him to feel unwelcome just because he was close to a pack's territories. Rules weren't being broken, were they? Was she allowed to talk to outsiders? It seemed harmless, but if the spotted boy had places to be, she'd accept that. The girl was disappointed in the fact her encounter with someone other than kin was cut short. Not that she disliked her family, in fact they were loved quite dearly. But every wolf she knew in Threar happened to be some cousin, uncle, who knows how many more in Abaven and outside of the pack.

It wasn't the most reassuring of explanations but it was all she would say. "You don't have to go. I mean, I don't think you'll cause any trouble."
