Crashing Tides

The brute wasn't quite prepared to have Kaios reach them first. A small fragment of his mind knew that he had gained Alpha status here, but the rest of him wasn't fond of believing it. He'd never imagined the brute to reach this status, so when he reached them he had issues believing his eyes. He remained cool and diplomatic, but couldn't help but wonder if Newt would make an appearance.
Kaios seemed confused by Desdemona's appearance, but all would be explained when Newt arrived. He was greeted warmly though, save for when he began to insult his son. Lip curled up in a silent warning revealing a single tooth. Not threatening, but merely displaying his displeasure at Kaios' choice of words, no matter how much he himself was praised.
"Keep in mind that was my son, no matter how incompetent you found him it would be appreciated if you kept your personal opinions to yourself. As far as our presence here I will wait for Newt so we don't have to repeat ourselves."
It didn't take lady for the dark lady to arrive. She slid up beside Kaios possessively. She didn't have to worry about him looking to skin Kaios' hide. Not this time. Punishment would be discussed at a later date. For now they needed to explain the new situation and get their alliance underway, including arranging the marriages between his unborn kids and her kids. Head dipped in respect to both Alphas before he returned to his position.
"I'm apologize for all of the confusion of late. Standing by my side is Desdemona. She challenged Kaien. She is now Alpha and I stand by her side as a second Alpha."
A look was briefly flashed towards Kaios. Any comments would hopefully be kept in his head. He hadn't given out details about Kaien's death for reasons, he also didn't want to hear any disrespect towards the dead. Kaien may have not done the best job as an Alpha, but regardless he was still family. He wouldn't be a bastard and disown the child in death.
"We have come to inform you of this, and that I have taken on a mate. The pups should be born some time this winter. If the alliance is still going strong I suggest that one of my children be betrothed to yours. I am also curious as to when you will send a daughter to our pack."
He had said mate in an odd way. The relationship with him and Loki was an odd one, but he wouldn't spend time explaining that to them either. Two-toned gaze shifted to Desdemona waiting for her to add something. He didn't want her to appear incompetent in front of them, he just happened to spend half his time talking when it came to meetings like this. He had a way with words and he also knew more about this alliance and was more familiar with it than she, but perhaps she wanted to introduce herself.
