Ooc:: Because Hati is... Hati... and I know how his lovely mouth and thoughts can get I'm going to mark this as mature just to be safe. xD

The huntress had decided to take another little expedition out of Secretua. One that would last merely the day, and she would be back that evening to see her two children. Einarr was growing to be a monster sized wolf, standing so much taller than her already. Yes, he was certainly his sire's child. But he was not like that man. He had good morals, a good mind. The young man was a bit socially awkward, and extremely protective of her and his siblings, but he was a good pup. Zisa, well, she had the same fire in her heart that Akemi had. A bit of a problem in some senses, but the female didn't mind too much. The girl would learn to adapt to the world, or so Akemi prayed. She hoped that it wouldn't take something drastic, like what happened to her. Though god help the man that tried such a thing.

Her legs worked, having left Tiny with her wolf son. Stretching her legs was needed. Perhaps soon she would try to hold a hunt for her fellow Secretuan wolves. If Einarr and Zisa showed it would be the first one that they had gone on as a pack. The thought made her excited, and her spirits were light. How blessed she was, she thought. Though Freyr had chosen to leave Secretua she was not as sad as she thought she would be. At least, not after some time. Her family had always kind of done it's own thing. Perhaps... perhaps it was time to start shifting her perspective on things.

The tiny female would slow to a stop, lowering her head to a stream to drink from it. Her laps would send ripples over the water, the remains of her ears shifting as she listened for any approaching sounds. She bore her wounded figure with pride. Look what I overcame. Her single eye was shining, looking down at the water with a slight smile. It was funny how life changed.

"Hear me talk," 'but read my thoughts.'
"Hear Tiny talk," 'but read Tiny's thoughts.'

Hati had taken it into his head that Sabre, the only boy in Daegmar's litter, needed a break from all the females he denned with. Most of the time you'd hardly know Daegmar was female from the way she acted, but those two girls of hers were chattery as magpies, always needing to know about everything. He'd been close to the edge of violence ever since the siege had proven to be nothing but one boring whinefest, and he'd felt caged in by the pack's boundaries and the constant barrage of wolves and puppies and he needed to rip something to shreds. Sure, maybe it was his fault for indulging them a little too much... after all, if they weren't Daegmar's kids he'd probably have mauled them several times by now instead of just roaring at them... Anyway he'd dragged Sabre along in part to free the boy from his sisters and to save Daegmar from having him around, but if he were honest with himself - which the hellhound tried never to be if he could help it - he had a genuine soft spot for the brats and he was just using it as an excuse for a bit of one-on-one time with the boy. Bonding over mutilating small animals. Maybe when they got back to Imperium and he'd worked out a little of his rage so he wasn't so close to killing someone, he'd take Karabela out and work with her fighting skills...

His pace had been slow to allow the barely-three-months-old Sabre to keep up, though the kid at least hadn't complained. What could he say, Daegmar taught her brats well. It had been a long trek for such a young kid, but Sabre was already taller than Hati had been at his age, and his long legs made up somewhat for his lack of endurance. They'd made it where Hati had been aiming anyway, and he set himself to find something to teach Sabre to catch and kill now that the kid was good and tired. Squirrel, rat, hell a mouse even. The point wasn't what they hunted so much as teaching the kid to hunt even when he was ready to drop. But he didn't find a squirrel, rat, or even a mouse.

Akemi.

He stopped fast enough that Sabre ran into his legs. The mask he wore hid emotions, but the growl that bubbled from under the edges made it pretty clear. As much as he cared for her, they hadn't parted on good terms. Only Daegmar's presence, and later the distraction of Daegmar's pregnancy and birth, had kept the black monster from doing something very very violent and probably very very fatal when his rage over Akemi's rape and mauling, over her and Freyr, over the whole damn situation boiled over. Now his body was gripped with tension and fury as he stared at the baby sister he'd loved more than anything, who he'd once both hoped and feared would feel the same way about him, and he could not get more than a single word past his tightly clenched jaws.

"Akemi."

Hati isn't nice. He swears, he is violent, and is more than a little insane. If you can't handle what might come of that don't thread with him.

Hati wears a bear skull on his head unless otherwise stated in the post. He also has a ram's skull that might be switched in sometimes if he finds it again.
Help keep my thread list updated so your thread isn't forgotten!

He hadn't raised any objections when Hati had abruptly announced that they were going to go out on some manly expedition to some forest somewhere. What would be the point of objecting? He'd simply get in trouble and be forced to go along anyway. Besides, it had sparked interest in him, his first venture outside of pack boundaries. He held back from any complaining on the long, long trip, too, though it was exhausting and painful. It would make him stronger, and better than anyone else his age. Had Angelus gotten his father to bring him so far out of pack lands at this age? Doubtful. Still, he was tired, and his feet hurt, and it was all he could do to keep his mouth shut and pay attention when he staggered into the forest after Hati. As focused as he was he still slammed into the back of Hati's legs when the large male stopped suddenly. Coming up alongside Hati, he noted with disinterest the mangled-looking female that held Hati's attention. He silently dropped his haunches to the ground to sit rigidly and wait for Hati's orders. Was this what they'd come here to do? Find this... female? He'd hoped it would be something more... bloody.

And I Know That I
I Sometimes Tend To Lose My Temper
And I Cross The Line
That moment of peace always seemed to end prematurely. Akemi would lift her head, and there he was. The black beast of darkness, the one whom she loved and cared for. Yet, after their last meeting, she had also become quite sore and agitated with him. His actions. Hati was a demon, yes, but he was also her brother. He was her older brother whom she had always looked up to for his strength and will. But now? Her feelings were mixed as she looked at him. She would open her jaws, about to respond, when her single eye would catch sight of the young pup with him. Who the young man was she didn't know but judging by the coat coloration... could this young man be her brother's son?

Gaze would shift fully back to him, her tone soft. "Hati... long time no see." The female would fight with her emotions, giving a heavy sigh. "I want to be mad with you, you know that. That... accusation Thor threw at me... it stung a lot. Then you went and broke Freyr's jaw... Hati... that wasn't necessary. Not in front of my children." Honestly she didn't care if he wasn't ready to talk this out. It was going to happen, here and now.

"I know that their real father was a scumbag, a man who got what he deserved. But Hati... I just wanted to give them the childhood we didn't have. Even if that meant believing that Freyr was their father while they were young... that was all I wanted. I didn't want them to get hurt the same way we did." She would gently motion to the boy. "You care about him in the same way, don't you?" She would ask. Not once had her voice been raised, though it was clear enough. She was hurting.

"Hati I..." Tears would start to sting her remaining eye. "I... I miss you... how we used to be."
