Trei had been doing a lot of thinking lately. Part of it had stemmed from Minerva unexpectedly getting better thanks to Integra, who'd learned about healing from someone or another. Part of it was his encounter with the loner, and Kyarst's subsequent barging in on his big moment to steal all the glory. Most of it was from Kyarst and Lysis coming in like they had. He was tired of being treated like a kid - clearly they weren't, or Minerva would have died a long time ago. They'd trained with Daegmar, and she was one of the best warriors in Imperium. They'd trained with their father before his death, and no one would be able to compete with him. They weren't children and they weren't useless. He wanted... some sort of acknowledgement of that.
His expression, usually so open and friendly, was completely serious as he stopped in the range and set back on his haunches. Muzzle raised to the sky, his youthful voice sent out a call for the pack's alpha.
