Kismet felt awful. Was it something he had eaten? Actually come to think of it he hadn't eaten for a while. Maybe that was the problem, though even the thought of food made his stomach turn. To be completely honest he didn't much feel like getting up either, he felt dizzy enough lying down he daren't  find out how bad it'd be if he attempted to stand. Lying here feeling sorry for himself seemed like the better option. Sleep would help, he'd sleep. He may have already been doing that on and off for the past couple of days though he'd be lying if he said he had any idea how much time had passed since he'd resigned himself to being stuck in his den.

Warja pranced back to the den where poor, decrepit Kismet was laid up and awaiting the hand of death. Okay, not really, but he looked pretty miserable. In her mouth she carried boneset, a useful plant she found herself struggling to keep in stock. She also had some lavender that she'd picked on a whim. Maybe it would help him rest easier.

Poking her head into the den, Warja dropped her plants and beamed down at her patient. "How ya feelin', sicky? Any better?" Or do you, ya know, still feel like a big pile of poop? She was hoping he was on the mend. Being sick sucked butt and she was really missing her buddy. And he did kinda owe her an adventure.

Kismet wasn't certain yet if it could be deemed good or bad that Warja was his healer. Of course he trusted her it wasn't that at all though even in his sickly state he could tell she was having just a little too much fun with this and he wondered, if when better he would ever hear the end of it.

It hadn't seemed like much time had passed since her last visit and yet here she was back again already and that cheery attitude still in place. He'd never actually been ill like this before didn't know what to expect from a healer though he had his suspicions it wasn't such a playful nature. Of course his mother hadn't exactly been the overly compassionate type as they grew up, he wasn't looking to be mollycoddled but he wasn't well and if Warja could dial it down just a little bit, he'd be grateful.

A small groan would be given as she entered the den, sleep had just been beckoning him and now there was no chance of that. Not to mention this new nickname 'sicky' was certainly one he didn't want to stick at all. To be honest he may have had a couple of issues with Warja's bubbly nature right now but he wasn't exactly the greatest of patients anyway. The very first herb she had brought in had been left sat for nearly an entire day before he'd finally given in and eaten it. "Yes." He lied. Well it wasn't technically a lie, he was slightly better but as Warja would have put it, he still felt rather like poop. He was just being awkward again. "Just trying to sleep."

"Yes," came Kismet's reply and Warja fixed him with a hard stare that suggested she was just about fed up with him and nearly to the point of beating him over the head with her herbs. Her cheer only went so far. She needed him to be honest.  If he didn't tell her exactly how he was feeling, how was she supposed to help? "Liar," she countered, brow arching as she dared him to disagree. His hint about sleeping was noted and silently scoffed at. He could sleep once she was done.

She leaned forward to place a paw on his forehead. Warja held it there from several seconds and then removed it without comment. From there she circled around behind him and gently grabbed and extended his scruff. After a few heartbeats she released it and watched it slowly fall back into place. Completing her circle, she moved to his side and placed an ear on his belly. Again she stood still for several seconds and then moved away without a word, stopping once she stood beside Kismet's head.

Warja's eyes flicked to the hunk of meat she'd brought for him the last time she'd visited. She eyed it, trying to decide if he'd eaten any of it. From there her eyes went to the shiny shallow disk she'd found during their time in the Range. She'd been using it to hold water. "Have you had anything to eat or drink since I left?" Probably not, the big stubborn lump. He'd probably just laid there and felt sorry for himself.

Kismet wasn't sure he could ever get a lie past Warja, though he certainly couldn't whilst he was ill it seemed. She read straight through his single word and with a stern stare accused him of his crimes. He didn't bother trying to defend himself, there was no point and he couldn't be bothered wasting time failing to convince her that he was being even a little bit truthful. Instead he lay in silence as she went about her little health check that would only aid in proving his guilt.

His gaze shifted back to her as she finally moved back around to his head. Truth be told he wasn't even sure when Warja had last visited him to know how long he had failed to eat or drink for. The meat was untouched though he had drank some of the water. He wouldn't lie this time though, there was little point when the food was clear proof of his lack of appetite.

"No. Even the thought of it makes me feel sick." Maybe he just needed to get over it and eat something, or perhaps there was something that could settle his stomach. He knew so little about herbs he had no idea what they were actually capable of doing. He'd tear his gaze from Warja now and await his punishment, he wouldn't be surprised if she dumped the meat right under his nose and refused to leave until he had eaten something.

His words brought a frown to her lips. How long had he been sick now? He'd be fine without food for awhile, but she really wished he'd eat something. "If it's not asking too much, I'd like you to try." At some point she'd stop asking. They were still quite a ways from something drastic, but Warja wasn't above wrestling his mouth open and shoving food in. For a second her mind wandered as she wondered if she could convince Eirik to hold Kismet down while she force fed him.

"It might do you some good," she ventured, eying the giant in the hopes of gauging his reaction. "Otherwise you'll wither away to nothing and then..." She shrugged, "Then you'll be light enough for me to drag you around." A playfully wicked grin split her from ear to ear. If that idea didn't scare him into eating than he was sick indeed.

The tone, the polite manner in which she asked certainly had Kismet worrying a little. The lack of food and sickness itself had already begun to eat away at his form. It was subtle, not a drastic weight loss but this was only the start and her playful comment that followed could indeed show signs of developing into truth. The smiles and jokes however were in fact a reassurance in some ways for him, Warja was back to herself; he couldn't be dying then.

"I'll try." He promised, though his own tone certainly didn't hold the light-hearted nature of Warja's. He didn't have it in him at that moment to joke in any way and of course was serious about this trying. He wasn't sure he'd keep it down, or even get it to go down in the first place but even he knew it was pretty important to eat, you didn't have to be a healer to know starving wasn't good.

He promised to try and she studied him for signs that he was lying. Kismet needed to eat something. She'd accept a nibble here and there so long as he did it, but his fast needed to end. "Good," came her simple response. Warja was ready to get out of his hair and let him rest, but before she did she wanted to be sure he had everything he might need and that he was comfortable. "Is there anything I can get for you?" She quirked a brow. "Something different to eat, more yummy plants, maybe?" A pause, then, "Peace and quiet?"

Comfortable? Not really but at this moment in time there wasn't much she could do about that. He'd get better though the whole process was much slower than he would have really liked. Of course actually eating and giving his body some strength and energy to get over it would help though when it came to sickness and healing side of things Kismet was very inexperienced and certainly struggled with knowing what was best. He had always listened to Warja for the most part without trouble, even if her plans were crazy so surely just eating a little bit of food and whatever else she put in front of him should be easy?

"Miracle cure?" He enquired. Was there something that could instantly make him all better? He doubted it but it was worth trying anyway, if only to try and seem more like himself than the awkward, whiny baby he'd been. Peace and quiet did certainly sound good, he could get that sleep he'd been after before Warja came in to check on him. It was nothing personal though, he did of course enjoy having his friend around most of the time.

"Miracle cure?" His query (was that a hint of humor or a genuine plea?) pulled a sympathetic smile from her. If there was some magic something or other that required her to scale a mountain or swim across a river to find, she'd do it if it meant making him feel better. Unfortunately there wasn't. Thankfully for Kismet, Warja didn't think what he had was too terrible. He'd be okay, he just needed to hang in there.

"I'm afraid not," she admitted. "I think you're almost done though." Well, on the upswing, anyway. Warja huffed softly in thought, her gaze darting towards the den entrance. It was time she took her leave. He needed his rest and since there was nothing more for her to do, she may as well let him get to it. Her gaze returned to him. "Alright, I'll get out of your hair. Holler if you need anything, okay? I won't go far."

No miracle cure. Kismet had figured as much. Warja's sense of humour could be a little irritating at times (taking adventures to burning lava rivers with no explanation as a form of celebration for example), though he doubted she would have left him actually suffering if there was something that she could have done about it.

"Alright." He made an effort to nod his head as she instructed him to shout if he needed her. He hoped he wouldn't, less so now but truthfully he'd likely feel rather embarrassed later about his pathetic state. "Bye." He called as she left. Now sleep or force down food? Sleep won in the end but he'd keep his promise and try eat when he woke up.
