"You do to me so well."

This place stank like blood, it filled his nostrils and burned the back of his throat. The huge creature had only once fought with a pack of wild African dogs, so here he was wanting to find out how these wolves handled themselves. Hyder held his fighting skills to high regard for a lion, it was the reason he had been a pride leader in the first place. His huge paws digging their retractable claws into the terrain. The lion would let out a loud roar, it crackled through the lands awkwardly from any wolf howl that would place itself.

Then he would wait, wait for them to gather and come. Spectators and participant, this would prove to him whether or not he needed to train to protect his future pride. A mix of wolves and lions within this pride it was something that they'd never seen before. Yet it was a dream that would come true to him, he would not stop trying until it did.

ooc: Looking for a quick 2 round spar with hyder ^w^ anyone is welcome to watch but only fighting one person.

His paws seemed to bring him to the battlefield time and time again. He would fight anything that crossed his path, and this would be no different. A mighty roar filled his ears, the brute turning towards where it came. A sly grin pulled his maw, and the dark beast made his way towards the call. It was not a wolf, but a feline he knew. And moments upon arriving at his destination, a figure as stark as snow found its way into his field of vision. Coolly the creature approached, stopping about ten feet from the creature. Sharp amber eyes found the estranged creatures vibrant pink ones, the maned creature the same color as his sire. Teeth showed in a challenging smile. He had fought against a big cat before, and reigned victorious. Whether or not this would be the same, well...they would find out soon enough.

"You are in luck today, stranger." He purred. Sin was no amateur when it came to fighting, and he had the experience with fighting big cats. This lion would be added to the pile of experiences he had in fighting creatures other then wolves. Though the claws of a creature such as the one before him were much sharper then a wolf's, Sin had the possible advantage in speed. He knew the tactics that large cats such as this used, so he was no fool in this field. "I am no fool in a battle such as this, but I will give you a taste of what I am capable of." He growled as he readied his defenses. An idea brewed in his head, he would see how well this creature fared. And should he prove powerful, then Sin would propose something after. This fight would determine that.

Zisa knew that one day, she would have to fight for herself; she would have to defend herself if she didn't want any major scars. So when the roar of a creature filled the air, Zisa was heading towards it, curiosity getting the best of her as she made her way forwards. When she managed to get to the creature, she stopped. This cat was bigger than she was! Before she could back out of the spar, she moved forwards, her light purple eyes blazing with a new fire. She was going to fight this cat, winning or not. But before she could, another wolf came seemingly out of nowhere and challenged the cat. "Are you serious?" Her voice was louder than she had wanted it to be, but she sat down with a huff.

Well, if she couldn't fight the cat, she would at least watch.

"You do to me so well."

A subtle grin appeared on the feline's face, two had shown up but the one he was to face was apparently not a fool. Already to Hyder adrenaline filled his veins and lungs. Fool or not a wolf who was experienced in fighting a cat would definitely be more exciting than a foreigner. They would know pain, they would know blood and there would not be any going back. Hyder let out a stiffed grunt as the cats long tail flicked behind him ready to steady himself in the art of battle. Those sharp eyes of him locking on the canine. His muscles tensed themselves and his claws unsheathed ready to scratch. Hyder would crouch and then run towards the Canine ready to face him head on.

The lion attempted to rear up on his hind legs, using both his paws outwards aiming for Sin's sides. The giant creature's head tilted slightly to the right as he aimed his open jaw at the left side of the canine's neck just where it connected with the shoulder. His stomach muscles tightened, back paws spreading out against the dirt and his claws dug into the dirt for traction. Tail whipping around for balance his eyes locked on the canine.

From the corner of his eye did he see a smaller figure approach, evidently wanting to fight the cat but Sin had beat her to the punch. If she so chose, he'd fight her after this too, though he wouldn't go easy on either opponent. He did not take his eyes off of the albino cat, waiting for the creature to make the first move. When he had first fought a jaguar a couple of years ago, the feline had started like any other cat would have. So Sin merely waited for the first pounce. And low and behold, he'd get it though in a slightly different manner.

Sin's defenses fell in place. Eyes narrowed, teeth baring, ears flattening against his head, hackles rising, head lowered over his throat as his chin tucked slightly, meanwhile his tail aligned with his spine for the Sinner to steer when he made his quick motions. Toes spread and claws dug into the dirt, shoulders rolled forward to protect his neck and his scruff bunched up. Lastly, his body tensed and his knees bent to lower his stature slightly while his weight was evenly distributed. His body was ready.

While the lion charged at him, Sin charged as well. Sin however, moved to his own right as Hyder reared up. Hyder's left paw missed it's mark, while the right swiped Sin's left shoulder, claws scratching his shoulder and leaving moderate lacerations from his long claws as Sin ducked in his movement. He then jerked his own head to his right, jaws shooting upward and slightly towards his left in an attempt to bite the lion right beneath his jaws. His movement had brought his left shoulder in contact with Hyder's teeth, though the felines teeth would bite into bone and glance off, leaving moderate to severe lacerations and puncture wounds that would bleed profusely. Sin would ignore the pain, adrenaline coursing through his veins. If his own teeth connected, he sought to grip and hold on to where he could possibly create discomfort or even cut open the skin beneath the creatures jaws. As he did this, his left forepaw extended in an attempt to claw swipe at the lions underbelly to create scratches, and his paw aimed to also slice down (scratch more like since wolf claws aren't that sharp *cough*) the Lions inner right thigh and down his right leg, hopefully to compromise the lions balance or distract him as well. The fight was on.

"You do to me so well."

The creature underneath him would move and wiggled about. Making his left paw miss and hit the ground with a thump, the blood coursing through his veins screamed as the male tried to bite for his lower jaw. Hyder attempted to jerk his head back slightly the fangs grabbing slight hold to his lower jaw and most of his thick mane. Leaving a half inch scratch that caused a burning sensation within his body. The canine would then try to scratch at his underbelly and right thigh. The soft skin becoming irritated and slightly lacerated as Hyder let out a growl at the creature, but his balance remained steady as he leaned back. Aiming to scoot to his right slightly his left paw extending in an attempt to scratch the canine square across the middle of his bridge between the eyes.

The lion continued his charge forward in that moment, trying to use his large size to his advantage. His left paw aiming for the top back portion of Sin's head, his tail swinging behind him for balance. Raising his right paw to attempt a hold on his back, Hyder's jaws opened tilting to the left as he moved forward aiming for the creature's spine just below where he had attempted to place his left paw. Back toes splaying into the dirt as he tried to cause as much damage as possible.

His attacks had been somewhat successful, he hadn't scored the lions jaw as much as he'd hoped, but it was something at least. It was then that an unexpected movement lurched towards his face, his eyes closing just barely as claws scored across his face. Moderately severe lacerations opened up upon his face, blood welling up from his new wounds that would be sure to leave visible scars later when they healed. Luckily, he had moved back in the nick of time to save his sight, the cats claws scoring the top left of his brow down to beneath his his right eye. An audible snarl ripped from his throat, his eyes opening slightly to see the cat pushing towards him. Blood threatened to blind the man but he'd shake his head vigorously, blood spattering all over.

The dog retreated only slightly by a step as he recovered from the painful surprise of Hyder's attack, as he ensured his defenses remained in place. Ears pinned, hackles raised, his tail tucked this time, knees bending, toes spread, claws digging into the ground for traction, scruff bunched, head lowered over his throat, his weight distributed evenly, his shoulders rolled forward to protect his throat, and his maw opened wide as he sought to counter Hyder's next attack.

He strove to charge beneath Hyder, Sin's size smaller then Hyder which may or may not prove a slight advantage as Sin sought to duck beneath Hyder's oncoming left paw. He felt the heavy blow upon the middle of his back as opposed to his head, heavy bruising would result from it, but it was a small price to pay. Head swiveling to his own right, he sought to strike Hyder's underbelly with his gaping mouth, to rip into the softer underbelly, to cause pain and hopefully attain a solid grip and shake. To cause bleeding and any damage he could, though he wasn't seeking to entirely disembowel the creature even though he would have liked to. He would be mostly under the cat now, and if Hyder so chose to belly flop or lie on top of him, then he probably could...*cough*

Due to his own forward movement, Hyder's right paw would be felt slicing down his rump, leaving possible moderate to severe lacerations there which would tear fur and flesh, blood and pain welling from the wound but it wouldn't stop him. Sin would swing his body towards his own right then, to bring his hind end out of the line of attack from Hyder's most potent weapons. The cats left canine clipping Sin's left side by his upper thigh as he swung his body away from the gaping mouth. A moderate cut would be made, possibly scarring later but for now, only blood would break free as fur was also clipped away. This was the most amusing fight Sin had been in, asides from the first encounter he had with a large cat years ago in which he had reigned victorious. But this kitty had mad skillz, and Sin was proud to have this one as his opponent.

His weight redistributed to accommodate his positioning, toes splaying out once more as he lifted his left paw to claw down Hyder's left hind leg this time, to create a feeling of annoyance and perhaps some welts, scratches, missing fur, or whatever he could manage. His three grounded legs were set equidistant apart for this, and he was ready to move again should the cat decide it did want to sit on him.

ROUND TWO

HYDER

CLARITY
- 2 “Aiming to scoot to his right” (with his hind legs? Are both paws in the air? How did he “scoot”?)
- 2 “As he continued his charge forward” (wasn’t Hyder reared on his back paws? You don’t mention creating any distance for this "charging", you just had a grip on Sin. How are you charging?)
- 1 “raising his right paw to attempt to hold his back” (where along his back? What part? Claws and all?)
- 2 “aiming for the creatures spine just below his left paw” (Where exactly are you trying to bite? Where are you aiming your teeth??)

Total: 3

POWERPLAY
- 2 You scratched with your left paw and attempted a hold with the same paw. You didn’t give sin enough time to react.
Total: 8

DEFENSES
+ 1 (tail) + 1 (balance) + 1 (toes)
Total: 3

ATTACK
+ 3 eye scratch

Total: 8

Total for Round Two: 29 / 50

SIN

CLARITY
- 1 "then he probably could...*cough*" ( OOC notes are not necessary and are generally not allowed in IC posts. You do not need to post this sort of thing, it can cause confusion.)
- 2" He strove to charge beneath" (with how much distance was between you two you didn't explain how you had enough time to open your eyes, see the charge, reset your defenses, and then charge to avoid Hyder's attacks. Hyder was JUST close enough to scratch your face, where was the time?)
Total: 7

POWERPLAY
- 2 "He would mostly be beneath the cat" - you have to attempt these things, not just assume.
- 2 "lifted his left paw to claw down his left leg this time" - attempt attempt attempt attempt. Always attempt everything. "To" is not an attempt unless its preceeded by "attempt" "aimed" or "tried" ect.
- 1 "rip into the softer underbelly, to cause pain and hopefully attain a solid grip and shake" (There’s a lot of motion here for one move. We normally do a bite in one post and then the shake in the second post.)
- 1 "Sin would swing his body towards his own right then" (Sin is moving a lot! He’s already running forward, there’s just not enough time in seconds to do so many movements in one post.)
Total: 4

DEFENSES
+ 1 (ears) + 1 (hackles) + 1 (tail) + 1 (knees) + 1 (toes) + 1 (claws) + 1 (head) + 1 (weight) + 1 (shoulders) + 1 (maw)
Total: 10

HYDER
- Moderate lacerations under jaw - 2 ooc weeks
- moderate lacerations along under belly - 2 ooc weeks
- scratches along left and right inner leg - 2 ooc days

SIN
- Scratching near right eyes - 1 ooc week
- Scratching/moderate lacerations along left shoulder - 2 ooc weeks
- Bite on right shoulder, down to the bone. - 2 ooc weeks to heal, requires a healer or will scar dramatically.
- bruising along back - 1 ooc week to heal
- moderate lacerations to left thigh/back - 2 ooc weeks to heal

Notes:

Tips for writing and some suggestions. (no points are deducted here):

RIVS
You must give time to react between moves! The basic rule of thumb is 1 attack per body part, so keep track of attacks with left paws and right paws. Remember your characters positioning as well in relation to your opponent and avoid words that bring confusion about distance and speed. You lost a lot of easy points on defenses, I generally go through the head and shoulders knees and toes song. Lion defenses are a tad different from wolf defenses, but in essance they are the same! So make sure you are absolutely clear how to defend your fluffy lil kitty.

DRAGON
Don't put ooc notes of any kind in your IC post, this includes *coughs*. Its not necessary and it causes confusion! Attempt every move, don't assume. Spars have to be very specific, more so than normal IC posts so that your opponent knows exactly what you're doing. You must give time to react, and remember seconds are only so long, so don't try to fit too much movement in there that your opponent has to react too. Over doing movements is considered PP because your wolf can only move so fast.

"You do to me so well."

His wounds would sting as he started to settle down. Lowering his body to the ground once he knew he was done. Giving out a loud threatening growl, even if he had lost he still would defend himself. However, this gathered enough information for him for his next fight. Highly considering that canine's fought much differently than any big cat would. As soon as the other knew he was done with his tail flicking back and forth Hyder would back up. Fluffing himself up even if the burning sensation returned to his skin.

"Canine's are verrryy interesting." Hyder huffed with a bit of a chuckle against his tone. "Do I get granted the Victor's name, I would go see a healer soon about that shoulder wound." Loser or not there was a sense of respect for creatures who beat him. Losing did not mean your pride had to get hurt, they were sparring rather than fighting over something after all. Though the other could take it the wrong way. His tail waved behind him, curiously watching the white wolf with his pink eyes.

Some of his attacks were successful, others were not. However, the same held true for the curious cat. The fight was over, and it was indicated the moment the Lion had placed himself upon the ground in defeat. Sin had beaten the odds, coming out of another fight against a creature that could have potentially ripped out his guts if it so chose, but he was all the wiser. Breathing heavily, Sin backed up a few paces, just out of reach of the cats claws should the brute decide that losing wasn't an option for him. Blood welled over his body, his coat further stained with blood, but this time, the majority of it was his own. He'd shake his head to free his face from the clinging ruby liquid, blood dripped past his eyes as he finally straightened out to hear the words of his opponent. "I could say the same for you, cat." He retorted, though his voice was neither kind nor unkind but somewhere in between.

Stained amber gaze met the curiosity that stained the lions lighter gaze. It was odd, meeting another creature that carried the same trait as his own father. In Sin's mind, it had always seemed rather...girlish, to have pink eyes and such. But such was the wicked way of genetics, he supposed. "My name is Sin. And I'll find a healer on my own time, it's not my first fight against creatures of your kind." He smirked, a little curious as to what this creatures name was as well, and where he came from. He had seen his share of large cats roaming around, but a lion would be the first. "Do I get a name too? Or are you to leave me calling you kitty cat?"
