She'd lost all of them, Soliloquqy and Ceasar had gone first. She'd barely glimpsed them as they retreated from Imperium one last time. She had taken Colette and Shakespeare away, but Coletta had disappeared within a month and then Speare was gone, in search of their lost family. She should have gone with him to look, but she had thought is she lingered in the south that they would all come back and find her. While she could have taken care of herself better, she didn't. The reality that her family was really gone just took hold of her. She lost her appetite, and would eventually drift away from the south. Maybe unintentionally maybe on purpose Isolde would make her way east, eventually finding herself on her mother's doorstep. The borders smelled strongly of the wolves she'd been born with, and as she stopped she wondered why it was she was hesitating now. It hurt to come back here, when she'd had a family all of her own to look after. She'd failed them though, failed at being a mother and a protector. Did she even deserve to have her own mother to come back to when she'd failed her own children so miserably. She'd allowed them to become slaves, to become completely separated from her and their father. Isolde had failed, and she was living through the hell that meant. Isolde would stand silently, and completely at war with herself on the border. Hoping that someone might come greet her, but also hoping none of her family would have to see her in the ragged state she'd come to be in.

Leo padded along the Fiori border at a light jog, just about to the end of his patrol. He had caught wind of some kind of trouble over in Threar's lands so he had been extra vigilant along the borders the last few days just to be safe. He had asked Athena to help him out with patrols as well, but the small control freak part of him just couldn't let the duty go completely. It wasn't like he had anything better to do, but it did put quite a few more miles under his paws in a short period of time.
However, what he wasn't expecting to find was his long lost sister at the border. He blinked with disbelief, but once he was sure he wasn't imagining things he picked up the pace to hurry across the last of the distance between them. "Isolde!" he called as he got closer, his tail wagging behind him. He was excited to see her and concerned for her all at once. "Isolde, it really is you," he said as he trotted up to her to embrace her warmly. Her current state didn't go unnoticed, but he wanted to find out what had happened and why she was here alone first. "What's happened, sis?" he asked as he stepped back to let his concerned blue gaze fall on her.
