Lillianna serpent plains "Vaaaaaiil," the young woman called, nosing around the den in which Vail was born and was being raised. She had a surprise for Vail - no, not a surprise, Lillie corrected herself mentally. Vail hated surprises, thanks to Lillie. No, she had a gift for Vail, a nice little gift. Well. It was only snakeskin and some really pretty feathers, but it was something, right? Speaking of those gifts, Lillie turned to grasp them gently in her jaws so she could set them down before Vail before they hopefully went out to play. It was cloudy out, so maybe Vail wouldn't do that dirt thing that Vail hated so much. Vail was beautiful; it was terrible she had to do that when very few others did. But, maybe over time she would come to resist it when her fur is thicker, and covers her skin more. "Speech" thoughts

Vail was afraid of water, and well that in a lot of ways made Motif grateful (she didn't have to worry about Vail stepping into water deeper then she realized because she couldn't see) she also didn't like the idea that her daughter might be missing out on anything in life. Once again, Motif would think hard about a safe and controlled environment where Vail could learn how to swim, to love some safe waters and still fear the unknown ones. It didn't take her long to realize the perfect place, and when Lillie's voice spoke into the den it would be like a perfect moment in the making. “Where in here honey” Motif called out, she was cleaning poor Vail, who didn't have a choice when it came to grooming. The brilliant white-pink coat muddied easily and it was a terror for Motif to keep clean. She let up however with Lillie coming into the den. Besides, Motif had plans for the day. “Hey girls, I have an idea for some in door fun, but we have to go there first, you two in?” she asked, gently nosing Vail up, letting her know she was free from her mothers attentions and Motif herself would get to her feet, leaning over to kiss Lillie on the forehead. ""

Vail was having a bath, it seemed this was her third most popular activity behind sleeping and playing. Her mother insisted she needed to keep clean, and while Vail tried to protest really she hated being covered in dirt and grime. So she would sit and be cleaned by Motif's expert touch. They were almost done when Lillie called out for her. Vail tried to dart, but her mother wouldn't release her until she did a couple more finishing touches. Before she nosed her daughter from the floor Motif wouldn't hesitate to offer the prospect of fun. It wasn't as though she even needed to ask, Vail was so ready for some fun after her long bath. Of course she didn't think about the bath that she was going to have to endure after the fun was done, but for now she could just be excited about what was to come. Her tail would wag erratically behind her as her little feet danced beneath her. "Yah! Les' go!" ""

Lillie wiggled into the den, a grin on her face as she noticed Motif cleaning Vail - no, scratch that, finishing cleaning Vail, because the older woman just nudged the pup. Her tail beat on the floor as Motif licked her forehead; she found herself nuzzling Motif affectionately even as she nodded. "Yes!" There was no hesitation in her answer, coming almost in unison with the albino girl. Of course the answer would be yes; what other option was there? No certainly wasn't an option. Not when it came to playing, and spending time with Motif's youngest daughter. She grinned at Vail, nosing the pup and bouncing around her as well. "Speech"

Seeing Vail's excitement was the highlight of Motif's life. Nothing in the world mattered to her more then her precious young creature. She wanted Vail to learn to live a full and proper life depsite her diferent way of seeing – but she feared she coddled the girl, could do nothing to stop herself from coddling her and could only hope it wouldn't stop her from growing and learning. She held back a sigh as she worried over her little one, leaning over to rub her nose into Vail's fur and kiss her cheek lovingly. She would grin also at Lillie, who showed as much excitement as the tinier white wolf. “Well then, lets go!” she said lightly, nudging them both to the cave exit. It wasn't too sunny out yet, their was clouds in the sky and they would be fine to make it to the cave that housed the hot springs without having to rub Vail down first. She led the way, trusting the girls would follow her, that Lillie wouldn't let Vail stray too far as they walked to the edge of Abaven territory. It was only a small cave that they slipped into, easy to over look and miss, easy to not realize its brilliant secret inside. She was already sighing happily as the scent of naturally heated water hit her nose, it was a soothing scent and she would nudge Vail towards the shallower end. “Stick a paw in Vail, tell me what you think?” she said gently, she would ease herself into the comforting water until Vail did. ""

Lillie reacted just as Vail did, both girls were very much excited and would not say no to Motif. Vail recieved another loving nuzzle from her momma, she was always showing her how much she loved her with physical attention. It was appreciated too, she couldn't really see the cues that would be given off visibly, and she needed the hugs and loves to remind her how much Motif loved her. She would be nudged toward the entrance then, and with little more encouragement she'd fall into pace behind her mother. Wagging her little alabaster tail she'd skip happily along until Motif led them into a cave. Vail was a little unsure as the scent of the water hit her, she'd never been around warm water before and the steam in the air was odd. Motif was encouraging, and told her to put her paw into the water. She'd lean down curiously and sniff at the surface, still wary but feeling better with this new environment. Carefully her front right paw would follow and she'd fully submerge it into the warm water. With a sudden gasp she'd pull it out and look up to her mother, though she could barely see her in the low light. "I's warm!" She'd squeal as she shook the water from her paw. She didn't realize that Motif wanted to get in. ""

Lillie stayed vigilante near Vail, making sure the pup stayed behind her mother and with the group, not that little Vail wold purposefully wander off anyways. Her tail beat the air as she skipped alongside Motif, grinning all the while. Hot water. Oooh, that would be nice. So so very nice. She was so excited, and she hoped that Vail would like it as much as she knew herself would.

As she stepped into the cave, she breathed in deeply, already feeling the relaxation of the steam. It was odd, this steam smell. While she loved the crisp coolness of air, she found she also like this air, breathing it in happily. It was a humid air, but it was acceptable due to the fact there would be water. And warmth. If she wanted the coolness, she just had to step outside and breathe the crispness.

As is, she slid into the water right with Motif as the mother encouraged her daughter. Lillie laughed at Vail's reaction - it was so cute! She herself loved the way the warm water felt on her skin. It wasn't scalding, it didn't hurt, but oh was it so warm. "Come in," she encouraged Vail, wading towards the pup. It got deeper the further you went in, but at a height where Vail could stand, Lillie could sit and immerse her whole body. "It feels really nice, and you can stand in it," she added to the ivory and peach colored girl. She wanted to splash around, but she knew Vail wouldn't like that: after all, it had been that splashing and whatnot that made her afraid of the water in the first place, nevermind that Vail probably had already put the exact incident far out of her mind. Either way, she hoped this would ease the fears of her friend.

Motif would watch lovingly as Vail cautiously sniffed the water, before submerging a single paw. She gasped, pulled it free and Motif laughed as she wondered if there was accusation in Vail's tone. Motif hadn't made the water warm. Lillie had already slipped into the warm water, and Motif grinned at her. She didn't seem quite as surprised by it as Vail did, perhaps she had encountered hot springs before. Before Motif could offer words of encouragement Lillie would try to tempt Vail into the water, and Motif nodded happily at Lillie. Vail had someone on every side now, one in the water calling for her to come in, and her mother behind her, gently nudging her as she indicated that Vail should hop it. Motif hoped Vail could feel secure in that, in the knowledge Lillie was a head of her to catch her if need be, and Motif behind to pull her from the water if Vail so desired. “Go on sweetie, its beautifully warm and pretty shallow, you can easily touch the bottom here” Motif promised her gently, she was eager to get in the water herself but would not do so until Vail did.. ""

As she pulled her paw back she could hear Lillie wade closer, suddenly offering encouragement to slip into the water. The last time they'd been in this position Vail had received a face full of water, but this time it seemed like the surface was going to stay much more calm. The water was warm and shallow, she could easily wade out into it with out any worry of drowning. Her mother was right behind her and Lillie was out in front, all she had to do was step forward. She'd hesitate again, but Motif would bring encouragement again. Her words were all she needed as she took a deep breath (just in case ya know?) and stepped forward. She'd find her toes weren't even covered in the first stride. She'd fully release the breath in a relieved gasp as she continued forward. It was warm and weird and so different from the rushing river. The water barely moved and the temperature was simply perfect. she'd walk down the gentle slope until the water reached mid shoulder. Vail would look over her shoulder at her mother, more out of habit than because she could really see her. "Now wha'?" What did you do once you were in the nice water? ""

Lillie's tail wagged happily as Motif glanced at her, pleasure in her entire slightly-wiggling body. This tail wagging increased as Vail slipped into the water completely, and she had to forcefully restrain herself. She so loved this water. Oh, so so much. She wished she knew of it sooner, though she also loved that Vail was here. She grinned at the girl's question, even as she lowered herself fully into the water, eyes closing happily. A small gasp worked it's way free as her chest and belly were submerged, and tail once more went off - this time underwater, causing a... rather odd look to pass over her face. That dissipated, though, as she addressed Vail. "Well... if you'd like, you can splash me? Or your mother. Or you can try swimming. Don't worry, just keep your paws moving - and neither I or Motif would ever let you get hurt," she once more encouraged, tail wagging some more. "Try wagging your tail underwater," she added a second later, grinning. It was an odd feel - exactly why she suggested it.
