LORD, I AM CLIMBING HIGH MOUNTAINS TRYING TO GET HOME
Trying to get home...

They soon arrived at Lyndvarr's make-shift den tunneled underneath a large rock. Lyndvarr had been storing a few grassland herbs in his den for use as he practiced and wandered about the battlefield in search of signs of his aunt. And here it looked like he'd found one! If his aunt Katja was an alpha this would make her a lot easier to find. "Home sweet home." Lynd grinned pausing to look Ash over. The boy had gotten away from the fight with fewer scrapes than he had. The only probably needing to be tended were the lacerations on Ash's left knee from Lynd's jaws.

The whole way the boy continued to talk and Lynd felt a slight stirring of anxiety in his gut. Oh man! He just chewed on an alpha's kid! Well, good thing mommy and daddy weren't around to see that. Did the alpha approve of his child wandering so far? He gazed curious as Ash went on to discuss his encounter with his aunt. "Ok, sure I'll let her know when I find her. Do you know what pack she's alpha of? I've been trying to find her. As for your parents… maybe they were just worried about you? I'm kind of surprised they let you out on the battlefield like this. Aren't you heir or something?" Lynd had no idea just how many progeny this particular alpha had but as Ash was the first he'd met he'd made assumptions.

Outside Lyndvarr's den dandelions were growing like…. well weeds. It was the one herb that was incredibly plentiful in the grassland area of the battlefield. He had some dried and stored away for fall but while summer still warmed the lands Lyndvarr was all to happy to take advantage of fresh herbs. His ivory fangs parted as he snipped away at a patch of dandelions, wincing at the bitter taste of the milk white fluid spilling from the verdant flesh. The juicy flesh would help kill bacteria and aid in healing but the most potent part of the plant would be the roots. Laying the greens aside he carefully set to digging up the roots, claws biting into the earth as he dug.
