My Precious Ones
He nodded to his beloved, soon to respond until his attention was torn away towards Arian. So the healer had heard? Not surprising, he was sure anyone within range would hear it...and they would be either an ally or a foe, and the latter would be a furious fight if they dared try to harm his wife or his children. He nodded towards the healer, confirmation that she was allowed to come in and help. He knew Arietta had done this before, but he wanted to make sure that she and the children would be healthy with no errors. What if she bled too much? Or was in too much pain? He shuddered inwardly...fighting Arietta on the field was different then watching her writhe in pain.
And to be honest, he loved her too much to watch her suffer. He didn't say it enough--the male having only said it once to her--but he loved her to a numbing degree. He would fight for the woman and keep her at his side. None would take her from him without a fight with all the strength of Hell upon them, or he would die trying. Even though Arian was a healer, Sin would retain a protective stance beside his mate, a critical eye on the Alphess as she worked. "She's done this before, but I want to ensure her safety and the safe delivery of our children." |
