Bass' teeth sunk into the center of Quelt's chest, blood trickling into his maw as his upper jaw landed on the right side of the center of his chest, lower jaws on the left side. Dissatisfied with his moved position, he let go as soon as he had drawn blood. Bass' head once again moved to align with his spine, ears pinned flat against his skull to stay out of the way of Quelt's teeth. But Bass was not done with the larger man yet, and with a smirk he adjusted his weight to his hind legs, rolling his shoulders forward as he attempted to rear himself up from underneath his opponent, hoping that with Quelt's one leg knocked out from under him that it would aid in toppling the bigger wolf over. The alpha was aiming for his shoulders to ram into the underside of Quelt's chest, right between the taller man's front legs. His left shoulder to Quelt's right side, and his right shoulder to the older man's left side. Bass attempted to slide his front legs, which had been spread under Quelt, towards himself as he tried to push upwards, hoping his shift in position would allow him to force a more upward motion. Because of this, Quelt's paw slam missed his own right front paw. The bite that the slate blue man had intended for his neck instead landed at the base of Bass' skull. Because of his intended upward motion, Quelt's teeth just grazed through his skin, only minor wounds coming of the attack. There was no hope of the older man getting a grip on Bass.

Bass was far from done with Quelt, and he raised his head up slightly to try and position his now open jaws once more for the man's tender underbelly. This time his head tilted towards his own right, his teeth intending to land the center of Quelt's lower rib cage, his upper jaws seeking the left side of the rib cage, bottom jaws for the right side. He tried to sink his teeth into the very tender muscles between the ribs, knowing that it would cause immense pain if he was successful. Bass once more sought for a hold here, still trying to push himself upwards to try and knock the bigger wolf off of his paws and over onto his back. Eyes stayed narrowed as his tail was still aligned with his spine, weight spread evenly on his hind legs as his toes spread and claws dug into the ground for extra grip. His back legs were also equal distance apart, bent slightly at the knee. His shoulders stayed rolled forwards and upwards, ears pressed flat as his lips curled away from his teeth. Bass' head tried to align with his spine as best as it could in his current position, a growl ripping out of his throat.
