Bring it on!

The huntress grinned at her brother, teeth parting to form the smile before returning to their defensive mode of hanging ajar. She felt the burning in her blood, the thrill of the hunt rising in her heart, and golden eyes brimmed over with energy as they locked onto Bass, her lips twitching into a sly grin. “Kind of you to say so” she knew she was rusty, but she felt the familiarity of the movements. She had thought her knowledge of fights lost, yet even as she looked at her brother, and felt the familiar spike of her adrenaline she knew there was more muscle memory there then she had given credit. Her legs where still spread even, her toes dug into earth, her tail level behind her, aligned to her spine. Her hunches remained raised, thick and padded along her spine. Her chin was tucked, her shoulders rolled, displaying her powerful muscles. Her eyes had returned to their narrowed position after joking with her brother, her half grinned lips curled. Her ears where tight to her skull and a growl tore from her throat in a seductive vibration, god, she was ready for this. She was ready when Bass moved, her body shifting to push her weight forward, preparing for the impact of the freight train coming her way. A moment before his impact she twisted her body subtly, and his left shoulder blade impacted into her own right, rolled shoulder instead of her chest and her body rocked to absorb the impact, even so she gasped at the pain of it. Her movement gave him a clear vantage to the left side of her neck, when he moved his head to the right. She gave him the movement as he moved in with his teeth, knowing that the way he had to move his head gave her more room to aim her own jaw at her prize. She hissed as his teeth found purchase just below her left ear even as her own muzzle moved in an attempt to find purchase on the edge of the bridge of his nose just below his left eye. It would be a sensitive spot if she was able to grab it, both because of the nose and the proximity to his eye. Her attempt was also only with the aim of finding purchase and perhaps drawing a hint of blood without doing any real damage. Her weight was still in her back legs as she had rocked it backwards to absorb his initial impact, and as he swiped at her paw she was able to lift it without too much unsteadiness to herself, making it more difficult for him to grab it if he didn't miss altogether. She shoved the top of her right shoulder into his left in an attempt to unstable him before he could put the paw he had swiped down again. ---------------- Motif VS Bass for SPAR ROUND 1 of 2 Walk, "Talk" Think |
