Wings of a Feather...

She was so enamoured by the bird song, picking up the humming once more along with the winged creatures. But when Starling asked about her necklace, her head lowering as she beamed at her brother. "A p-present! L-l-lillie g-gave it t-to m-me." She chirped, rump wiggling along with the movement of her tail. She stepped forward and nuzzled Star, her vocals still humming with the songs of the birds. "W-what a-are w-w-we g-gunna d-" she broke off suddenly, eyes drifting to a fallen bird that layer on the ground. A shriek left her as she bounded passed her brother, skidding to a stop beside the tiny bird. It was hurt! She turned around to look at Star again, her eyes wide as tears brimmed in their blue depths. "H-help i-it S-star!" she wailed, tears flowing freely from her eyes. Turning back to look at the tiny thing she whimpered, nosing it softly. It was still alive, still breathing. But how long would that last? Her brother could save it, right? He had to!
