Arietta would breathe out softly as her little one spoke. A question about the thing in the sky, huh? The mother would gently lick her son’s little head. “The thing in the sky... I see Ganta wasn’t paying very much attention when I told him what it was when he asked me.” Arietta would give a soft chuckle, letting her eyes close as she thought quietly to herself. Ganta was a sweet kid, but he was always in too much of a hurry to do his own thing.

“It is called the ‘Sun’, Obscoro. The large ball of light keeps the world lit up during the day, so that we might be able to walk around and see things clearly. It’s rays warm up the earth, mingling with the air, and feed the grass and flowers so that they grow. Without the sun they wouldn’t grow at all, and then our prey would have nothing to eat. If our prey had nothing to eat they would die and then we’d have nothing to eat either. In a sense the sun is a source of life for all things.” Arietta would chuckle again.

“I hope I didn’t confuse you, my little one.”
