And I Don't Want The World To See Me

The young boy would giggle a bit as she licked his head and commented about his brother. Ganta did always seem to be excited about alot of things, and he wished he could share in that excitement too. He listened quietly as his mother explained what the sun was. He tried to picture it, a big ball of light in the sky...he knew what a ball shape was, his siblings had rolled a snowball before and from his understanding it had no edge, it continued around endlessly. That was how he put it, anyway. The warm part...well, that he could feel. He felt it whenever he was close to being outside, often times it was the warmth and not the light that would wake him up. So the 'sun' was responsible for all of that? One part he frowned at was the light...did the sun hate him? Why did it never want to shine on him?
He was a little puzzled, which brought him to return his gaze back towards his mom. "I understand mama. But what about the other one? The one ganta says is the night light?" He blinked as he peered outside as if he could see it. But he knew it wasn't, the night light was never as warm as the sun light. |
