Take Me Drunk, I'm Home

Their unplanned decent had Mithras' sides aching with laughter. The journey itself was passing in an indistinct blur and he found himself unclear of the details, except that one moment they were upright and the next they were not. Faria's journey downwards was halted by a tall plant, wilting in the late season but laden with pungent flowers. He was about to wrinkle his nose against the strong scent when Faria surprised him by grabbing one between her cobalt jaws. His brows dipped in drunken confusion. "Really?" he questioned, but leaned in all the same to take a bud of his own. The taste wasn't terribly pleasant but thanks to those apples he wasn't really in a mindset to care. He waited with baited breath, trying to see just what was so great about them. The light was almost gone from the world, but Faria still shone out like moonlight splaying across a lagoon. He watched her, confusion growing as his thoughts would muddle further. This plant was weird... It was certainly tainting his thoughts because he'd never really thought about Faria like this before... He blew a long breath out through his nose, trying to chase them away.
