Bones of our Ancestors

As usual Shai was taking the morning to hunt, his practiced paws carrying him easily as he did his duty with ease. The target was far less dangerous than the boar he'd brought home not long before. As he tracked the creature though Bass's call would interrupt him, and Shai would begrudgingly leave his hunt. Bass's need for him was too important.
Even with abandoning his task so quickly he would be the last to arrive, slightly out of breath and coming in at a quick trot would show he'd come as fast as he could. With no hesitation Shai would make his way behind his mate and daughter. Nuzzling the both of them affectionately before taking his seat behind them and Starling. His bright sun light gaze would fall to Bass, curious about this urgent call.
