Naoise should have known that the female would have the chance to notice his charge. She would sidestep to her own right, displacing his bite to her middle of her left deltoid brachioradialis muscle. He would tighten his grip on the successful hold. There was no reason to give in now. Even if Hellstrom was to fall, he would fight until it stood again. These wolves... Were more like him than he realized.

Naoise would dig his hind legs into the ground, redistributing his weight as his leg came back down. He’d step back with his left foreleg as well, aiming to pull back against the wound’s he’d create to deepen them. His ears remained pinned the whole while, hackles raised and eyes narrowed to protect them. Tail was aligned with his spine, legs spread, toes spread, and claws were biting the earth. His limbs were bent at the joints, his shoulders rolled forward, and weight evenly distributed.

The girl would, at the same time, thrust her shoulder into his mouth, angling his head upward slightly, though he would shift his head so that his neck muscles were more rigid. He could taste her blood flowing into his mouth... A sickly sweet taste.

He would push through the pain, not that it was incredibly crippling, as he tried to bring his right forepaw down close to his opponent’s left foreleg to drag his claws down the length starting from the front center of her knee joint all the way down to her paw.
