My Little Girls, You've Grown So Beautiful

It didn’t take long before the pale, rosey hued form of her youngest arrived. As always, there was a smidgen of dirt here and there, but Surreal didn’t mind, instead bending to nuzzle Baine gently as the girl greeted her. "Dia duit, mo leanbh ghealach beag. Ag imirt sna locháin arís?" She greeted warmly, voice rich with undertones of gentle laughter. Spotting a fleck of mud her child had missed, Surreal automatically sought to swipe a kiss over Baine’s muzzle.
Spot cleaned, she leaned back to gaze at her youngest girl, taking in all the changes that had seemingly swooped in. Her girl was no longer the plump little pink pup, getting into mischief and exploring the caves with gusto. A woman was beginning to blossom from the little cherry sapling her daughter had been. A soft, almost sad, smile touched the silver female’s lips. "Tá tú tar éis fás chomh tapa, beag amháin. I gcás ina mbeidh an t-am imithe ar shiúl go?" Surreal said softly. It felt like only yesterday that she’d greeted this litter into the world. And now, here they were, a year later. Haad Celestial been running already, Surreal would have been asking her two youngest what they were interested in taking as a main vocation.
