The gangly slate boy made his way back to the den after another fun patrol with his dad. Valentine wasn't shy in taking him on different activities with him, and Rhyme enjoyed every minute. It was easy to be confident when your giant of a father was there to help look after you, but even now Dad was adamant that he learn to defend himself. While Momma often told him of her herb collections (which he also thoroughly enjoyed) she wasn't shy about her experience in fighting either. Still, the best stuff came from Dad. The skip in his step was hard to miss, he'd accepted that it was going to take a lot of time before he was a grown up. That did not stop him from celebrating little victories though. His paws were much bigger than his moms now, and he was going to start challenging her height very soon. Their six month mark was fast approaching, and his eventual height was more obvious now than ever. These signs had given him a boost in confidence, but he was still cautious in comparison to his sister. He'd seek her out now, they'd both been doing their best to practice the skills their father taught them, and now fresh from a kind of lesson himself he was eager to try his moves on Rhys. First he had to find her though. |
