Intro - The XX

BIC:: Quietly, the brute would stalk through the trees. His motions where slow, fluid, rolling like water as he made his way through the thick brush. It was past mid day, the light starting to grow less potent in the sky. It had been roughly a few days sense the last time he'd ventured up here to see his mate, but Newol was so busy now it seemed. There was so much to be done. Between serving his family, scouting the land, and this. His time was always so limited it was almost maddening. But it was a welcome change of pace from his life in The East. Back when he'd had so much time on his hands that it had driven him insane. He was happy to finally be back. What with his loner status, he didn't want to push too close to Sonticus borders. But right now there was only really one thing that he wanted. Her. Now he would linger here in the South for a few days before returning to Surreal's side. Soon enough, though, there would be a time where he could be close to all of his family at once.

A faint chuckle would escape his parted maw. My my my, how time was poetic. This is what he'd wanted many years ago. To be a loner mated to a packed wolf. And it looks like he'd get this for a short time. He loved them all. He loved all of his family. And so he wanted Arian's favor as much as his sisters, and he most certainly wanted his mate. Clutched in his maw was a large, brown spotted owl's feather. A trinket he'd found that he wanted to give his mate. Finally, he would reach a decent clearing in the brush, surrounded on all sides by trees and thick brush, a private place. Settling to his rump, he would drop the feather gently atop his paw and tilt his scared maw to the sky, letting out a musical howl calling for his beautiful Avalon. All the worry, stress, tension. All the build up of a busy life, it was finally his night of peace. His chance to lay it all aside and catch his breath again.

But just a little longer now as he waited for her to arrive. He couldn't wait to see her, show her how much better his voice had gotten. Hold her close and smell her scent. He'd found a life that didn't beat him up and wear him down day after day after day, and he was determined to keep it. Over was the time of constant misery. He had a reason to smile, and smile he intended to.
