Name: Védís Hróðvitnisdottir
Litter: 6
Age: 5.5 years

Appearance: Unsurprisingly, Védís has inherited Hróðvitnir’s signature black coat; but she also has taken on a large swath of white color, which starts at her snout, swooping down her chest, coloring much of her underbelly and limbs with a crisp ivory color. The contrast is quite striking. Even more so, patches of vivid red adorn her pelt, from the red color that surrounds her eyes to the socks that cover her front paws, and finally the uneven splotchy pattern that dapples her hind limbs.  Finally, her eyes are different colors - her left eye is a vibrant blue, while her left is a crisp gold. Aside from her coloration, she is above average in size and stature.  She stands at an unusual 42” tall, though her build is average, neither remarkably muscular nor overly gaunt.

Personality: If Védís Hróðvitnisdottir is anything, it is dutiful. She is loyal to the Hroovy family, probably to a fault, and she will do anything for anyone related to her by blood, no matter the cost and no matter the type of personal relationship she has with them. These values have been instilled in her, and to her superiors she will submit without question; she never disobeyed her father, both fearing the consequences and respecting his place above her and the rest of the pack.

As for morals, hers tend to be slightly skewed.. likely due to her father’s harsh way of raising his children and ruling over his pack. Védís understands that if one wants something, they must take it by force; luckily, there is little that she herself aspires for. She is unafraid to fight, and has no qualms against defending herself or those she is loyal to, but she does not live to fight and harming others is not particularly enjoyable to her.

Having not been paid much attention to her by her father, she tends to have issues with males in general; whether it be distrust, or simply not feeling comfortable around them. She is much more comfortable around women, and tends to gravitate toward them in most situations.

Despite her upbringing, and the importance placed upon self-preservation, she has a motherly streak that is difficult for her to ignore. Védís has a natural inclination towards helping others, despite this quality being stifled in her as a child. Because of this, she tends towards the more “tough love” kind of care. These qualities have come out since leaving her home pack behind, not long after her father’s death.

History: Védís lived a relatively simple life until her father’s death. Though she didn’t necessarily worship him as some of the others had, she respected him deeply and rarely disobeyed him, if ever. She was a dutiful child, content to blend in amongst her siblings, not standing out but not showing great prowess either. When her father died, she spent another year or so in the pack before leaving to find her family. She's spent about three years mostly alone now, making her way to Alacritia and maturing quite a bit along the way.

RP Sample: The silence was deafening. Each step was precise as her left paws moved first, and then her right, in quick synchronization. Védís Hróðvitnisdottir didn’t know where she was going, but she had a goal in mind - to find her siblings that had left the pack long ago. Things had changed significantly since her father’s death, and since Hati and Loki had initially taken their leave. It seemed more and more wolves left by the season, until it hardly felt like home at all. With that she had left, for once not looking back, determined to reunite with at least one of her siblings.

The tall woman’s gait was tense as she moved through the underbrush, weaving expertly through the trees. The land was dark, illuminated solely by the pale moon overhead, and she snuffed loudly she bowed her head to the ground and tested the scents in the crisp air. Védís had sworn she’d caught a hint of a familiar scent a few miles back, but as soon as she’d gotten onto its trail she had lost it again.

Her white and black tail twitched absently as she moved, her gold and blue eyes searching her surroundings fervently. Something in her gut told her she was on to something, and so stubbornly she would continue onward, oblivious to the ache that was beginning to settle in her limbs and the hunger gnawing at her belly.

Other: Will purchase the extra height for her if I get her :)
