OOC: Set before Faria gives birth

Mithras couldn't seem to stay still. These last few days had been torture for him, constantly wondering about where Faria was or how she was doing or if she hated him... That night between them had been a mistake and he knew that he ought to own up to that and face her, but he couldn't. The astral man knew it was cowardly but quite frankly he didn't care. His own ego had never meant much to him, but the fact that Faria might be out of his life forever? ...That was harder to deal with. He wandered without destination through the murky forest, the unnaturally quiet forest, and tried to find peace in the falling dusk.

So he told himself he just needed time. He'd been trailing her for a while now, and why she was venturing down here? He couldn't say. In the back of his mind he wondered if maybe she was looking for him but that seemed too far-fetched, unless of course she was hunting him down to remove his manly bits. He blew the contents of his lungs out slowly through his nose, a sigh that spoke of heavy thoughts and baited breath and a lifetimes worth of words he wanted to say to her but lacked the courage to speak out loud. You're pathetic, he thought with an air of nonchalance, but it made him frown all the same. Pathetic and selfish. He resolved then and there to talk to Faira before the moon grew full again. He just needed a little more time...
