The sickness that claimed many of Abaven nearly claimed her; she managed to avoid catching it barely, mostly by avoiding everyone and being very wary of what she ate. She couldn't afford to get sick; already the healers - or healer - was likely run dry of herbs, and she herself had no clue on how to treat the sickness. She did know some herbs for sicknesses, however, and that was why she was around the lake; such a water-filled area would likely have some herbs near it, and so she would attempt to find them to give them to... Harmony, if she recalled properly. She knew battle herbs easily, and some easy sickness ones - perhaps the ones for colds would assist. Marigold, marshmallow, watercress. These were the herbs she sought, during the last few days before the cold truly set in. It was winter now, no doubt about it, but it was still very mild and calm, with hardly any snow. There should still be herbs at the water's edge; it wasn't even that cold.
She approached the water's edge, sniffing around for the distinctive scents of the plants; now that the flowering season was gone, these plants would only be identified by their leaves and scent.
