Anthem of the Lonely
Terror filled her to the brim. The eyes! The eyes found her! The shadow cat was going to do more bad things to her! And the devil...the shadow cat had led the devi right to her! She had never known such creatures existed until last night. She turned away, curling her body tighter around herself, her left foreleg sat at an odd angle, though she covered her face with her other leg. She was frightened, oh so frightened of the world. Would everything hurt her now?
As she cried into the snow, she faintly heard the voice that had previously spoken. Softer this time, not as...booming or intimidating. She listened to him talk, heart hammering against her chest. Healers? Whimpering, she shifted a little so she could turn around and look at them. As she turned around to look, she tucked her tail tightly to her underside, though she recoiled when she felt the stickiness of blood seep onto her tail. Swallowing hard, she eyed the one who spoke. Her eyes trailed over his lowered form, slowly finding the face and...his eyes. She struggled to keep her fear under control, refraining from screaming and running right then and there.
If this male wanted to hurt her, surely he would have already done it...right? He was bigger then the shadow cat and the demon wolf, he could easily rush in here and tear her apart. But he didn't. Her eyes quickly sought out the males friend, an odd little creature she had never seen before was sitting next to him. She looked at the strange creature while he clutched the bag to him. Could they really help her? She felt so much pain, her body returning to the state of feeling pain after her terror attack. It took her a moment to find her voice, to find the voice she had before this had all happened. "C-can you help me...please?" Her voice was hardly above a whisper and a whimper. She wasn't sure if she could trust them, but if they tried to hurt her, she would bite them like she did the shadow cat. |
