Arietta would frown some as her son continued on. The first part should have made her esmile, but there was something about how Obscoro said it that made her feel saddened. She could sense his emotions, and his next words made her realize something. Her baby was blind. His eyes were deceiving... But.. Arietta would sigh deeply, shaking her head. How could she explain to the child that he had done nothing wrong, that blindness was just a thing you were born with, without upsetting him further? “Obscoro... I don’t know if I can fully answer that question. But...” Arietta would pause for but a moment. “Though you can’t see, you are fortunate in some respects. You don’t need to lay your eyes on the evil of this world, and see the wrongs others commit to each other. You can hide those horrible images away...” Arietta would close her eyes. “I envy you, Obscoro. There are some things I wish I’ve never seen.” |
