Family was everything. It always had been paramount to her. It mattered not that Tórnach was not a blood nephew; Surreal had been more of a sister to her than one of her own blood sisters. She knew quite deeply that family ran much deeper than simple blood relations.
She noted that her nephew seemed far less joyous than she would've expected. Not that she knew his character terribly well; she had only met him once, though hopefully this visit would give her some enlightenment as to his personality now that he wasn't a mere pup. He spoke of the siege against the pack that had happen their home, and she sighed softly in relief. Though the plains were nostalgic for her, the memories were as painful as they were enjoyable, and she had no desire to return there to live. An infrequent visit was enough for her.
"I'm glad," she said truthfully, accompanied by a small nod. "And you are in these lands any time. You don't need to ask." Epiphron's smile was genuine, and she gazed at him with warmth in her blue gaze. She was not in charge of who was allowed here, but she knew family was equally as important to Leo - and she knew he would not be upset if family visited unannounced. "Come," she'd invite him, more of an offer rather than a demand, gesturing further toward the territory's center with her muzzle. "Let me show you around."
