Today I don't feel like doing anything [PO]

The brute had been laying still long enough that snow had started to build up on him. There was only a thin layer blanketing him, but it was enough to mute his coloring. Another quarter inch or so and it would be hard to tell him apart from his tractor. Oddly enough the snow was surprisingly insulating. He certainly wasn't warm, but there was a noticeable difference between how he felt now and how he felt when he'd first settled down.

Bits of snow trailed down the sides of his face as his ears swiveled to pick up the sound of an approach. His eyes followed suit but the rest of him remained still. The unsteady, exuberant tromping of little paws through thick snow was followed by the graceless arrival of one of Avalon's kids. With on final bound the small boy fell prey to the deep snow that had drifted and gathered around the base of his tractor and disappeared in a flurry of powder.

Not a split second later the little guy's head popped up out of the snow. To get a better look at him Valentine scooted to the edge of the tractor's roof and peered down. "It is pretty cool, huh?"
