He followed her scent to the spot where he had last seen her. He could already tell from first glances that she was much, much better than how he had left her before. He also noticed that she wasn't asleep so he padded toward her with a little hesitation. He didn't want to bother her if she was trying to sleep, but if her sigh was any indication he guessed that she was having as hard a time sleeping as he was. "Hey there," he'd greet her quietly, giving her a small smile. He'd stop a couple of feet away, adding, "You're looking better. Do you mind a bit of company?" He'd settle onto his haunches, still ready to leave if she said she was trying to sleep. He did hope she didn't mind though, he really didn't want to be alone if he didn't have to right now. |
