Coming To The Light [Birthing]

He was out and about, so what? He occasionally got bored and wandered. The large male was padding about, his thick coat bouncing between his steps. A lazy pace had been set and his maw hung open slightly to catch his breath. Ashmedai's nose twitched every so often. The scent came to him suddenly. It was slightly familiar and- now that he knew what the smell meant- reeked of pups. Huh! Ashmedai quietly drew closer. There were two there, but the one smelled like a pack. He said he was a healer. Where was her mate? Had he not taken her to his pack with him? Was he off hunting? Ashmedai drew closer, making himself known, "Hey- uh- sorry, I just... I know her." The boy made the move to duck closer, looking at the girl. He did know her. They watched the sky together. He didn't know she had a mate. She didn't smell like any mate last time he had seen her. Man how things changed! Ash lowered his voice, "Hey, uh, remember me? It's Ash- uh- Ashmedai. Don't worry, we'll get you through this, okay?" He tried to be reassuring. He didn't know how these things worked. He kind of wished Cas or Sparrow or even Eva was here. Even Eva because Ashmedai was pretty sure she could eat pups if they weren't her siblings. Ashmedai looked around, then moved forward, aiming to help the woman up, "We- uh- prolly should getcha in a den right? Uh, where's your mate? I don't really wanna get attacked, you know? I'd call out, but I don't wanna give away our- uh- situation and position. It's okay, though, we're gonna help ya through this!"
