Still But A Child

Winter may be fun to play in the snow, but it was stressful for the alpha. Prey was low and anything that was still hanging around was thin and scrawny. Bass was losing weight under his bulky winter coat, both from the stress of worrying about his pack and the lack of eating. He would rather see his pack and family eat before himself. It wasn't like he wasn't used to small meals during this time, there were a few frozen stores dug into the ground of prey that they had caught before the snow began to falk so heavily. Plus the white male was not above scavenging at this point and time. Licking his lips he was on the hunt for food now, when he heard the laughter of one of his older sons. A smile came to his weary face as he changed course, hunkering down low into the snow banks as he crept towards Shrike.
Keeping himself as hidden as possible, he crawled towards his growing boy with a smirk on his maw. Thankfully the tan boy was on his back and looking up at the falling snow, making this a low easier. Rump wiggled as he positioned himself, springing into the air with a loud growl. Bass aimed to land across Shrike, making their bodies into a plus sign as his front paws tried to land on his left side, hind legs on his right. Jaws parted, he aimed a gentle nip at the boys exposed tummy. "Oh look, a nice plump meal!" he teased, pale tail sending a flurry of snow behind him. They were never too old to play, right?
