She caught both her daughter and wife's look of apology, and simply shrugged her shoulders with a light laugh. It was only because she had been in such a heavy sleep that she had been startled, usually the soft spoken words of her mate would have roused her first. It didn't last long though, when Athena shared what she was planning today Jayne took off like a bullet, following the larger woman out of the den. She lingered back with Diana, knowing that the girl took after herself when she had been young, although a lot more reserved than her tiny mother. Leaning down to nuzzle her shoulder affectionately, she moved forward when Di did, keeping in step with the cream coloured female. Both of them poked their heads out, and she let out another laugh when Jayne found out just how cold snow was. Eyeing Athena she smiled sweetly at the woman, before her attention was drawn back down to their other daughter. Seeing her sisters reaction to the snow had surely confirmed that outside was bad, but she didn't want her to be afraid. She didn't seem to be scared though, just... hesitant. "Its okay my love, go on. All that white stuff you two see out there is called snow. It only comes during the winter time, and when spring comes it will all melt away. It won't be cold for that much longer." She said softly. Fondly her gaze returned to Athena, remembering their time in the North. "Your Mother and I used to live in a place that had at least three times the amount of snow as there is here. I would get lost in the big banks sometimes!" She commented with a giggle, although a touch of sadness crossed her tone. She knew that Athena missed her home land, but she was so grateful that they were here now with her family. Amalia knew that it had been hard, and still was, on her larger mate. The both had a lot of fond memories there, and now they were starting a whole new chapter here.
