Her song carried out across the lands. A song she didn't know she carried in her heart. There was a lot she didn't know. Like why this was happening. Why he left. Her questions were left unanswered just like when her family disappeared. Was she destined for abandonment? Again and again? She was such a fool...Her song slowly ceased before she jolted slightly when she felt something rubbing against her legs. Looking down, there was a rather small figure looking up at her. Too pretty not to cry? If only. Newol had always said she was beautiful...and that he loved her...so why? What's wrong?
Before she could answer him, another male larger then this one and older too, showed up asking the same question. Her heart clenched, what was she to say? That she was an idiot? That she was used and tossed? How pathetic was that? Her jaw trembled, her eyes watering. Finally, she hung her head as her ears laid flat. "I'm a fool..." She whispered. |
