He got a nod in response to his explanation and, taking that as enough of a confirmation to proceed, tipped up his chin and howled out a summons for Angelus. Valentine knew his son would jump at the chance to test a new member. He doubted it would take the Ultimus long to respond, but that didn't stop him from sinking to his haunches. If there was going to be a fight he may as well get comfortable. Valentine's ears pricked. Was that pawsteps he heard already? Either Angel was really booking it or the boy had lucked out and was close by.
