Starling was on a bit of a mission, but that wasn't entirely unusual. If he wasn't actively searching or using his craft, he got kind of...fidgety. He was excited for this season, after this disappointment of the mud lifted. It was good, it meant that different life he had never met could exist. Things grew in wetlands that couldn't in dry places, and he was excited to see what he could find. Which brought him to a lake, which had undoubtedly flooded a bit as well. His nose was to the earth as he looked around, searching for some plants he could take back home to help fill his store. However, he paused when he saw someone else had decided to come to this territory as well. Deep blue eyes would blink slightly as he looked at the stranger, lifting his head gently before he tilted it. He recognized those markings... "Hey..." He said softly, sadly. He quickly did the math in his head, eyes narrowing just slightly before he hummed. Yes, this boy seemed to be about the right age. Clearing his throat, he slowly stepped towards him. "Y-you w-wouldn't h-happen to b-be...A-arian's son.." He said softly, blue eyes large and almost hopeful. He had been there when Arian had...passed away, and she hadn't been in the right mind. He had been worried for her children, but he knew Cypress would have been around, and besides...when he went to see if Sonticus was still around, it wasn't. The scent had been long and dead by the time he got there, and he had no idea where to find them after that, if he even could.
