He could tell that she hadn't liked when he'd laughed at her confusion, but he saw that it didn't upset her greatly or else he assumed she would've made a bigger deal about it. She looked just as clueless if not more than he did (though it was all an act after all) about where they were currently situated, so it was of no surprise when she confirmed that she didn't know anything that would be of use to him. She seemed to sympathize with him, explaining that she too was in the situation as he, having only been in the new lands for not very long. He would grin to himself when she provided a name without his prompting. That was good. She seemed to be very forthcoming and that was something that he could work with once he got in good with her.
He would allow his ears to fall back just a bit, taking on a look of dismay, as if he'd been hoping that she would be able to help him. He would take a look around, as if he were thinking or perhaps deciding something before he would turn back to her. Would you like to get out of the rain? He asked with his thick italian accent, looking hopeful that she would take up his offer. So far things seemed to be going well. She was receptive to him and the rouse that he was playing, so he would keep it up to see just exactly it would take him. It probably wasn't a smart idea for a damsel like her to be alone with a man like him, but he was a good man. At least he looked the part.
