It was like the passed year hadn't happened, but it had. There was still a darkness to his bright eyes that anyone who knew him could tell. There was still that twitch of a frown, that lost look that was so alike a child searching for something. But today...today he was happy. His mother's lullaby was light on his tongue, and it had become more frequent. It was as if he subconciously knew, even if he had no idea what grew in his beautiful wife-to-be. The soft twitter of birds added to her serenity, a soundtrack to her grace. He felt his breath pull from him, his eyes soften before he smiled so warmly. Everything was perfect. Quickly he stepped towards her, tilting his head slightly. "You look so comfy, little cloud." He said in his soft voice, shifting to lay down beside her, envelope her in his warmth. They laid like this so often, and he cherished every moment. "How has your day been?" He asked softly, pressing a gentle kiss beneath her ear, right beside the little feathers he had tied into her fur. "Burn Baby Burn" |
