Starling was always intrigued with fighting, ever since his first season. He had never been any good at it, that was just a fact. He constantly stumbled and fell over his feet, he would never be a fluid and good warrior like his father and Lark. But his mind was sharp, and he had learned the fundamentals. He knew the defenses, knew how to play the game, but his body just didn't support it. So he was kind of...nervous standing on Raba's side of the war, taking a deep breath to try and calm his anxieties. He stared across the way, choosing to stand at his father's side and wait patiently for the opponents to come along to start the war.

When Vali showed up, he saw her eyeing his father, and he quickly sidestepped to get out of their way. He smiled towards his Aunt Harmony before sighing and looking back, wondering who was out there for him to fight. Maybe he and Lillie could have a spar. He did owe her for that bite she caused. With a gentle shake of his head, he tried to focus, to keep his sister's disappearance at the back of him mind, his own...everything. Stella was out there looking, anyways, so he would know within a second if she was found, so instead he decided to stay in reality, and focus on this mock war, wondering who he was going to fight.
