Kar had already been out and about that morning. He had been fairly certain that his youngest child, the only one from his litter, would sleep relatively late. Of course he had no way of knowing that nightmares plagued the youth. Uneasiness rested within Kar’s heart as well. While he remembered his conversation with Kalliope he couldn’t help but feel there was something wrong with at least one of his children. Some sort of danger... Was it not his duty to protect them all?
It seemed only Mystic had not left the nest {save for Mako} and for that Kar was grateful. His eldest daughter was doing her best to be a role model as well as live out her own life. He had caught wind of a male visiting the lands again and he hoped that she might have moved on from her loss of Hypnos. She was far too young to be grieving over a lost mate... Lost children. Kar knew those pains and certainly did not wish for his children to.
With spring causing the snow melt to engorge the waters he was being wary of their location at the falls. The water levels were rising more by the day, and the man was certain that soon, despite their den being on higher ground, that it would be wisest to simply move for a time. He was already edgy with having Mako so close to danger.
Speaking of. Ears would prick as he made his way back to the den. He had caught some type of duck this time to be their breakfast and was just returning to the den when he heard his son. He’d quicken his pace, covering the last bit of distance before he was able to drop the duck at his son’s paws.
“You’re up?” He asked softly. Then he’d nose the duck with a smile. “Here. I know feathers are a pain but I’ve brought us breakfast.”
