Arkay was eager to get onto the battlefield, he was ready to test his skills! He'd gotten a tiny bit of instruction from his dad before they had left, and Feli had been eager to show him what he knew. He'd heard a story about the raid that had happened in Threar, and how Feli had been brave and the only wolf to win a fight. Arkay was determined to be strong and brave like Feli and his dad. So as he ran into the practice war he had his chest puffed up and his head held high. He was ready for his first spar. Mostly. While he looked confident on the outside the boy was a little more than nervous internally. This was his first real fight after all, so his eyes would rove over the possible opponents.
Speaking of his somewhat- mentor... Felicien stood waiting for an opponent to appear and Arkay would eagerly give him what he wanted. The boy would rush up eagerly, his tail wagging and his grin goofy before he realized he should have been much more serious about what was going on. He'd screw up his face as he tried to suppress his grin, but it wasn't really working. "Feli! I'm gonna fight you!" He'd proclaim, not quite understanding the whole 'war' thing. Still, he did know to get his defenses into place, and slowly his grin would look more focused than goofy.
