Felicien's attention was easy enough to acquire, and he couldn't help the grin that continued to linger on his maw. This was it! He was really about to take on his cousin turned father figure. He'd try his hardest to concentrate, taking in a deep breath he'd find himself putting his defenses into place. Lowering his ears, narrowing his gaze, he'd feel the hackles all along his neck stand on end. He'd align his neck with his spine and his tail would straighten out behind him. Rolling his shoulders as he bent his knees, centered his weight, and spread his toes apart. He'd tuck his chin as his bright tangerine gaze looked for the best opening.
Arkay was easily Feli's size by his ninth month of life, but even with how even they were he was a little uncertain about his first move. They were roughly five feet from one another, so Arkay wouldn't have much distance to close. He'd feel the muscles in his hind end coil, for a long moment he'd be still. The boy would aim to suddenly spring at his cousin, he'd want to close the distance, veering only slightly towards his right as he aimed for Feli's left side.(from Arkay's view he would be going right, from Feli's view he would be veering left) The slightly bigger boy would open his jaws, wanting to land them on the left side of Feli's face.(Feli's perspective) His top jaw would seek out the left forehead, above his eye and before his ear, while the bottom jaw sought the middle of his left upper jaw and cheek bone. Arkay would want to feel his teeth sink in as he sought to take a hold of and control his opponent's face.
At the same time he'd want to use the momentum he'd gained to shove the broad part of his chest into Feli's upper left shoulder. He wanted to avoid the sharp point and really get the broad part of the scapula (shoulder blade). With the hopeful face hold he'd want to cause some serious bruising from impact. In addition he'd aim to keep his opponent close, shifting his weight from the chest slam he'd put 65% of his weight to his back legs as he aimed to wrap his front paws around Feli's neck. The right arm back around Feli's neck and spine while the left would seek out around the bottom of his throat to opposite shoulder.
