What a surprise! His opponent didn't even sneak up on him, just called out to him. His emerald gaze rested on a smaller male; Shrike was his name, wasn't it? Another one of Bass' children? Either way he felt relieved his fight would be more of a direct one. Now he didn't have to worry about being attacked from the behind, however that was an ability he'd have to work on for the future. For now he'd make the most of this spar, hoping to use his larger size to his advantage.

He readied his body into a fighting stance. Head lowered to align with spine, limbs planted an even distance apart, toes splayed, claws dug into the earth, legs slightly bent, hackles raised, abdominal muscles tightened and chin tucked. The defences came almost naturally to him, and he could feel the adrenaline returning to his veins after being deprived for so long. He missed the feeling of his heart pounding and heaving breaths, and was indeed glad to get into the experience once more. Yes, he would enjoy this.

It appeared the first move was his, and without hesitation, he would charge towards the other male head-on, narrowing his eyes and allowing his tail to streak behind him. He would attempt to close the distance of eight feet between them, and whilst doing so he would drop his right shoulder and attempt to drive the bony part into Shrike's throat, seeking to strike the trachea. He hoped to bruise the male, if not knock the wind out of him and cripple his breathing. Redistributing his weight onto his left side, he would attempt to ram the centre of his chest into the bony part of Shrike's right shoulder. He hoped these two body-slams would work hand-in-hand, though he was aware of the bruising bound to come on his own end. Simultaneously he would tilt his head to his (Tinaro's) right and bring his jaws down in an attempt to grip the right side of the other male's face. Upper canines sought to land just above Strike's right ear and lower canines on the right side of Strike's jawbone.
