Starling needed to get out of the packlands, for a little while at least. He was never really one to spend a lot of time within Abaven's lands, his job really depended on him travelling and searching for herbs he can bring home, so he could handle a plethera of wounds and sicknesses when they arose. He was so used to travelling that staying at home for days at a time gave him a really antsy feeling. It was travelling that gave him the grace to not constantly fall over his own paws (though he was still rather awkward sometimes) and allowed him to have an independence he hadn't had until he crossed those borders. So that day, after making sure Finch was looked after, he ventured out. He sought to find something that might help her, might make the nights easier, might be of use. He didn't go far, not this time. His paws found the lands that held the delicate red trees, and he was almost run over by nostalgia. His breath was caught in his throat as he stared up at the beautiful trees, his eyes tracing the leaves before he sighed. This was his and Finch's first adventure, the first land he had ever been too that didn't wave Abaven's flag. It would be just fitting if this place held the secret to Finch's wellbeing. Maybe...just maybe. He shook it off, feeling the memories continue to play like little fingers in his soft fur as he moved along. Nose to the earth, he searched, endlessly, for something useful.
